does the job
Not the top, but reliable and gets the job done. Instructions would have been nice, but we figured it out as we went along. Its a little too deep to get the patty out when you press it, so we oil it a elfin before making patties so they fall out intact.

Okay but like the tupperware keepers more
These are complicated but smaller than I anticipated., I do like that they each have lids but I actually ordered more tupperware as they hold larger burgers.

Too big
I recall having some of these Tupperware presses when I was a kid. I am sure they were a lot smaller. I guess portion sizes have gotten a lot bigger since the '70's.Otherwise, they are very convenient. I am a vegan, so I make bean and veggie burgers that cook better once they have been frozen, and these do that job well.Total, this is a good product, I just would have liked them to be smaller.

WONDERFUL and Empirical
This is a wonderful commodity. I had my previous Tupperware hamburg press for 30 years. It's a great way to save money -making your own burger. Infatuation IT!!

No sight Americans are fat
We had a set of these that was about 20 years old and it got fallen in one of the moves. That press made reasonable size burgers. The press sold here is huge. If you filled the mold altogether, these burgers would be well over 1/4 pound and probably about 1/3 pound if not bigger. The burger keepers are exemplar Tupperware quality and the press should be adequate for our use. But these things could stand to be smaller. I can't even imagine how big the 1/3 pound presses indeed are.

Significant 4.5" press / The Dimple is important
The press produces unbiased over 4.5" diameter burgers and are just perfect for fitting buns. You can obviously make it with pretend them as thick as you like.After reading some of the other reviews, I have a couple of comments.- The Dimple is important. Have you ever noticed that burgers look out for to "dome" up while cooking? The dimple prevents this from happening. This explains why Costco has a hole in the midst of their pre-pattied burgers. If they didn't, the burgers would end up like a baseball. The thicker the patty, the greater the "dome" outcome.- This press is dishwasher safe. Need I say anything else.- The removable dimple insert is a great addition. After serious, simply remove and flip your patty where ever you want it.- Regarding meat, I would highly advise from ground chuck. If you must used ground beef, you want at least 15% fat to give it some flavor.- Although the press is made of counterfeit, it's plenty sturdy enough to press a patty...

Smashing product, very easy to use and makes uniform burgers for the grill and the dimple in the middle ensures there is no "plumping up" in the bull's-eye.When we make them we lay a sheet of plastic wrap underneath with half hanging over, make the paddywhack, flip it over and fold the other half of the plastic wrap and its sealed ready for storage or keeps the burgers from sticking together. Very expeditious without a mess.Super nice invention!

i dear one this thing! you can make different sizes of burgers it all depends on how much meat you put into the press! i made burgers that are 1 inch, 0.5 inch or 3 inches!total am really happy with the purchase and if your thinking about getting one of them presses, well it doesnt get any cheaper than this! i capability.
