When I got the product untroubled b in, I hooked it up to my cable box upstairs and to my flat screen television in the basement. The box says there is a conveyance range of 150 ft. but that must be direct line of sight because the transmitter could not sync with the receiver in the vault. I would say the maximum distance between the two is about 35-40 feet. So,to see if the unit was working, I brought the transmitter downstairs within superintend line of sight of the receiver and attached it to a cable box. That seemed to solve the syncing problem and I was expert to obtain a good HD picture on my remote flat screen tv.However, I could not get any sound. I called complicated support and was told to download a firmware update and to get an updated cable box. When I attempted to download the firmware upgrade onto the transmitter and recipient, nothing happened... In fine a way to stream HD content I had seen this output on display at CES back in January and so glad it's finally available. I've got one hooked up to my home office server and it streams full 1080p60 size to any TV in my house. (Replaces about $600 in HDMI cables). Video over wireless has finally indoors! I abominate HDMI cables! I proclivity that we can use this box to avoid running HDMI cables around our living room. As long as you have an extra power dam up to your wall-mounted TV, it sends all the content over Wifi with no cables to try to hide ;) It's also pretty abate that you can put multiple receivers around the house to get access to the same videos. The initial kit only comes with two but then you can buy others (for cheaper) after that.
Hawking Technology Hi-Gain USB Wireless-300N Dish Network Adapter (HWDN3)
Details
DescriptionThe HWDN3 is an exotic WiFi adapter engineered with a high performance dish antenna to obtain the best WiFi signal for your laptop or desktop. The dish shaped antenna isolates the timer, deflects interference, and directs the WiFi Signal to the source, allowing your laptop or destop to reach the wireless provenance from further away than most wireless adapter on the market. The 5ft USB cable gives you the ultimate flexibility to identify the adapter away from WiFi interference. Simply run the included setup wizard, plug in the dish adapter, find your network and tie in!Customer ReviewsDoes not alight up to box text or most reviewers' commentsI have a metal-sided workshop structure about 65 feet from a Linksys RE1000 Range Extender that is located in the main congress (a wood-framed vinyl-sided structure). The wireless router is at the far end of the house, hence the for for the range extender at the end nearest the workshop. But the range extender still isn't sufficient to reach the desktop Windows XP computer in the workshop with enough timer strength, so I got the HWDN3 Dish Network Adapter to extend the signal even further. Except for the Hawking HWDN3, the available network is all Linksys N, so it's all up to date and all intercompatible.Linksys does not make an appropriate indoor antenna for punching signals through the outbuilding's slab metal wall, so I selected the Hawking HWDN3 based on many ecstatic reviews of the very be like previous HWDN2 model (I seem to be the first anywhere to review the HWDN3 model). According to those reviewers, they could pick up solicitous signals through several concrete walls, a...
Leaf Plus Amplified Indoor HDTV Antenna
Details
DescriptionPiece of paper Plus HDTV AntennaCustomer ReviewsThe Piece of paper is now pumped up!I've owned both Side antennas and each one was hooked up to a splitter with 50 feet of coax going to two tvs. I tried adding an amp to the first side but it actually made the picture worse. The only difference as far as appearence is the leaf+ is very slightly larger and you have to promote it in (either the wall or usb on your tv.) The original leaf seemed to work great pulling in strong but not perfect timer strength but at night two of the channels wouldn't work and when a semi drove past the incarnation would get choppy. I should note that I live 30-60 miles from the towers.I decided to send Mohu an email and see if I could get the bigger version and send back the regular one when I got the new one. It happened to be the 30th day after ordering the original so it fell into the timeframe for the 30 day affluence back warranty. They sent out the amped leaf and boy am I happy with it. Over half of the stations now have a 100% timer strength. The others are all above 85%. There are so... Proficient Antenna - exceeds expectations I received the antenna very quick, and set up was very simple. According to the FCC maps I should have good reception for 11 stations, and moderate for 5 more. I was thrilled that with this INDOOR antenna I received more like forty stations very manifestly. I played with the position somewhat and rescanned and depending where in the room I placed the antenna I received between 39-44. The typical example is so much clearer than what I was getting with cable. Thanks Mohu for a wonderful product! A terrific replacement for rabbit ears Heretofore, we had an unattractive rabbit ears setup with the antenna stretching across almost six feet. We ordered this hoping for bettor looks and better quality, and it delivered on both counts. The Mohu Leaf Plus was very plain to install. It is the thickness of a laminated sheet of paper, and has a black side and a white side, and either side can face out. We mounted it oyster-white side out against a white wall, and it looks so much better than the old antenna. But the really great thing was the improved effectuation. The kids & I did a "before" and "after" experiment, surveying the channels we picked up and the picture quality of the old antenna and the Mohu Side Plus. Even better than expected: we gained ten channels, going from 19 to 29, and at least three clearer pictures. None of the channels were strayed or looked worse on the Mohu Leaf Plus. If you're looking to cut your cable, you can't go wrong with this. |
