Aiming contrivance for Dish Network Satellite Dish
When the Dish Network installer at installed my satellite dish he had to install it on a free-standing pole due to condo rules. The setup he against was pretty poor and included some patio blockes leaned against the post to steady it.I had noticed some more frequent fall off-outs and decided to install a more rigid post. I needed something to re-aim the satellite dish once I did that. I used the aimer to do the initial aiming of the dish. It unusually helps that it has both a tone that changes in volume with the aiming and a meter reading.I did find that I still had to make definitive adjustment of the satellite dish pointing using the TV set and the Dish reveiver in "install mode". That was tedious and not at the peak the meter gave me. On the other clutches the meter got me close enough to be able to peak the dish using the TV display from where the meter got me initially.For the cost its a great little tool!

Convalesce your dish signal
Was having row with the signal from the TV satellite dish. Did not want the expense of a service call. This aiming meter let me zero in on the signal and now it is beat than ever.The cost was much less that the service call would cost.

Too many satellites too midget sensitivity
I ordered this to resist in installing a new 5 LNB DirecTV dish. What I found is that there are apparently so many satellites up there now that I got lots of indications before finding the proper DirecTV locale. The sensitivity of the Meter is too wide to be of any use for other than initial location. I could not do the necessary fine tuning in three dimensions other than the old fashioned way using the TV and as a follow-up several of the HD channels do not come in well. Even at the low cost, it really didn't provide enough assistance to justify the obtain.

Does the job as advertised
This meter could doubtlessly be purchased at a more reasonable price, but it does the job. As you peak the dish position, the sensitivity adjustment becomes VERY supersensitive, going from no indication to full-scale with the slightest tweak of the knob. For those who cannot adjust the dish while staring at a meter, this item also has an auditory signal (tone) that varies in intensity to indicate progress. The meter dial is lighted, so at a scan you can see relative amplitude of the signal, especially nice if you are outside after dark trying to bring back your system from a nasty wind storm!

Srengths of a Potency Meter
The Meter and the negotiation went well. Being a homeowner I hated to have Dish come out for a service call simply to reset the Antenna. This meter was low expenditure and and a good tool to have. It has a built in light so it is easy to read. I just attached an uncommonly cable I had and it worked quickly.

however, we fallen all signals from those channels and many more and we have only the Germans ones which works accurately without any problems. I did a new skim for new channels but still have no receptions or signals for those that I mentioned. My dish is a Fortec Feature Passion Asset HD and having only Astra 19.
