    Description

The 5.8GHz wireless video/audio sender consists of one transmitter and one recipient. This device transmits wirelessly vivid video and hi-fi stereo sound from a VCR, TV set, LD, DVD, VCD, Satellite Receiver or guy set top box to any TV or monitor. It can also be used in conjunction with a camcorder or CCD camera and turns into a wireless security monitoring system. As to the communication capability, the signal can go up to 400 feet clear light-of-sight and even penetrate brick up. With the built-in IR remote extender, it allows the user to remotely control the audio/video sources in the other rooms.
The regular home entertainment system once consisted of a TV, stereo, and maybe a cable box. Now a modern system may also include a DVD better, satellite receiver, surround sound amplifier, digital video recorder, and an HD tuner, along with a PC expected to serve as a digital hub for certain audio/video functions. The RF Link AVS-5811 takes A/V technology to the next well-organized step by wirelessly transmitting audio and video signals from these components to any nearby TV, guard, or stereo system, letting you enjoy vivid video and hi-fi stereo sound anywhere in the house. The A/V sender evocatively lets you send signals to components located upstairs, several rooms away, or elsewhere without continuous bulky, space-consuming cables in the walls or under the floorboards. With the AVS-5811, viewers can safeguard simultaneous DVD or satellite programming on upstairs and downstairs TVs, or listen to their favorite tunes on stereos in three distinct rooms--all without wires. They can also use the sender to watch live video from a camcorder or CCD camera in a ancient location, whether for security or entertainment purposes. Users who edit video or capture footage from TV programs on their computers will also find copiousness to like about the device, as they can easily send the video from their Macs or PCs directly to a living cell TV for viewing.

The AVS-5811 comes with a 5.8 GHz wireless transmitter and a receiver with four selectable channels. Ill-matched with more common 2.4 GHz transmitters, the AVS-5811 doesn't share a band with Bluetooth devices, cordless phones, 801.11b wireless LAN networks, and microwave ovens, ensuring a intelligent, interference-free video signal. The four channels are also a bonus, as it lets users set up multiple transmitters and receivers in the same locality without cross-channel noisiness. In addition, the sender includes a built-in IR remote extender that rudder components from a distance, so a user can mute the bedroom TV while relaxing on the living room sofa, for occurrence. The sender features an NTSC/PAL video system and transmits to distances as great as 400 feet without obstructions. It's also more compact at 6.5 by 4.13 by 10.5 inches (W x H x D).

    What's in the Box
Transmitter, receiver, two A/V RCA cables, two AC power adapters, IR mouse (abstracted extender), user's manual.

5 stars all the way!!! Crush electronics gadget ever!!
I'm a hi-tech tool guy who is hard to please, but this far exceeded my expectations! I have it connected from a bedroom Directv Receiver(6" from a 2.4GHZ wireless PC lan) to a larder 15" Magnanox LCD TV sitting 12" below a micrwave oven without interference from microwave or lan! I'm even transmitting through 6 walls and a 5 gal. metal potato interpose bucket and people walking in the kitchen without affecting the picture! I was getting a super incarnation w/o even having 1 antenna directly facing the other antenna. I thought I was going to have to run between floors for hours until everything was amalgamated perfectly - it only took 15 seconds because alignment is very forgiving. Picture quality is 5 comet crystal clear with no lines, static, etc. All TV channels are 5 star and the HDTV stations blew me to another place even though I know its not sending true HDTV though the avs-5811.What surprised me most was that I could use my bedroom Directv lonely (down in the kitchen) to change channels...
Upper-class Wireless A/V Sender out there...If it works for you.
I have an HP Windows Media Forefront PC and wanted a wireless A/V solution to enjoy the media content on my PC. I wanted to send the timer from my PC in my bedroom to my living room where I could hook up the audio to my home theatre system, (to enjoy the digital music and agreeably sound from recorded shows), and the video to my TV, (to watch movies, pictures, home videos, and TV shows I recorded on my PC). I animate in a condo and I tried (2) other 2.4GHz Wireless A/V senders, (The Radioshack model and a effect I got from Best Buy), before I arrived at this gem. With the 2.4GHz A/V devices I got a lot of interference from my neighbor's wireless routers, microwave ovens, cordless phones, etc., which ply on the 2.4GHz freq. band. The results I got were unsatisfactory and I was very disappointed that my vision seemed impractical. When I lettered of this product which operates on the 5.8GHz band my hope was renewed. Going up to 5.8 GHz made all the diff. for me as this freq...
    Noteworthy picture
I installed this commodity so that I can share my High Definition Comcast DVR in the first floor familiy room with another TV (standard delineation) in upstairs bedroom. I was originally thinking of getting the 2.4 GHz Radio Shack yield but the local Radio Shack store recommended against it (too much interference with Wi-Fi, etc.). I have 2.4 GhZ 804.11G wireless network and a 900 Hz cordless phone. The detachment between transmitter and sender is approximately 50 feet with 3 walls, a staircase and a floor beween. All edifice is standard wooden - no brick walls.Getting the Video was a snap - did not require any exact alignment of antennas. Excellent picture. Getting the remote working was a bit of a hassle. After a lot of experimentation, I found out that the IR timer is too strong and it was temporarily "blinding" my DVR. After moving the unit a bit away from the DVR, the remote works wonderfully. (Product manual does not have any info on this).I also...

Works fine fantastic... unless you use other 2.4Ghz devices
I was looking for a wireless way to send the video & audio from my living space to a bedroom, so that I could watch movies coming from my cable box & DVD player. Having a remote exercise power feature, I chose this model.I can tell you that the picture was very sharp, and the sound was great. However, I also have a Panasonic KX-TG2730 expandable cordless phone system, which operates on the same 2.4Ghz frequency. With the phone's inferior plugged in, it produced crackling sound and wide dark bands that scrolled vertically along the portrait. Unplug the phone system, and it was flawless. I had read other mixed reviews on interference caused by 2.4Ghz phone systems, but I can for certain you that the Panasonic system I mentioned did cause interference for me. I tried moving the phone base, and tried all four channels on the Leapfrog Wavemaster 30 video transmitter, but nothing helped. In barring, if you don't use any other wireless devices using the 2.4Ghz frequency (cordless phones,...
Works as well as can be expected for 2.4ghz
I worn this product for several weeks to transmit satellite TV from our living room to a computer upstairs (with windows media fore). It was easy to set up and the remote worked great; however, if you are considering buying this product, you should be posted of some things:1. The price of this product is dropping quickly because it's inferior to RF links that run on the 5.8 GHz spectrum. I strongly support considering spending the extra money on a product that runs on this less-crowded spectrum. Specifically, be predisposed to run into trouble if you are running a wireless 802.11b or 802.11g network (which uses the same frequency), 2.4ghz cordless phones, and microwaves. If you vigorous in a condo/apt complex close to other neighbors, you will want to be sure they are not using products on this spectrum. Also, the 5.8ghz products have a register roughly 4 times as far as this and other 2.4ghz products.2. If you decide to go with this product, I recommend buying...
Works celebrated, even with WiFi (instructions here)
The comments on the Terk LF-30S seem to run in two palpable camps. It either works great, or won't work at all, usually due to WiFi interference. You can beat the WiFi delinquent, and I'll show you how.First, my experience with the Terk has been positive. It was easy to set up and everything you need is included. We use it to send a signal from our Comcast DVR (hooked to our paramount big-screen TV) to a secondary TV in our kitchen / family room area. We use a secondary output on the DVR to entirely up the Terk sending unit. The signal is sent between two floors of my house. I did a little measuring on the two floors, and with a speck basic geometry, was able to aim the antennas acceptably on the first pass. Its not like a satellite antenna - aim in the neutralize general direction will be fine. It is a wood frame house. Your mileage may vary. The IR extender use works well. The IR emitter (at the sending unit to control the source Comcast DVR) is quite...

    first-rate cable
i was a crumb concern regarding the bad reviews, before purchasing this cable. When i bought it i was hoping those were isolated cases. Well after arriving my hopes came happen, it is an excellent cable, flexible enough to go through walls and furniture, and hard enough not to break after pulling it everywhere (of despatch we pulled it carefully). I hope the bad reviews came from bad handling of the users, or just a glitch on calibre control that day. Anyway a good cable, recommended. I am planning on buying more of this cables, i hope my destiny continues and never experience a bad cable.
    The ferrule is TOO BIG!!!
The ferrule on this telegram is a full 7/8" diameter - that is just enormous and way too big and makes fishing through walls a bit of a chore. Were it not for that, I would have understood it 5 stars because everything else - 3D, ARC, you name it - is working perfect.
    Unsolvable to get through conduit
Unless your cone-shaped tool that you are trying to pull it through it pretty wide you are going to have problems because of the ferrite beads.
