    Description

What could be healthier than steamed veggies on a bed of rice or pasta? With this stackable set you can utilize the steam from whatever's simmering below to pastry-cook whatever's on top. How's that for cooking efficiency? Functional as well as beautiful, this 3-quart saucepot and 2-quart steamer broadside are made of heavy 18/10 stainless steel polished to a mirror finish. The pot has an aluminum gist in its base to spread heat quickly and evenly. The core is completely clad in stainless stiffen so, like the rest of the pot and the steamer, the pot bottom resists corrosion and discoloring and cleans up easily. Thick rolled rims add toughness and make it possible to pour from the pot without dripping. Because the pot is 4-1/2 inches deep and comes with a sealed-fitting, domed lid, it is roomy enough to simmer stocks and soups and can also be used for braising veal shanks or for fare chili on the stovetop or in the oven. (The handles are oven-safe to 350 degrees F and reinforcement cool on the stovetop.) The pot and steamer are dishwasher-safe and come with a lifetime warranty against defects. --Fred Brack

    A important saucepot/steamer combo!
This has got to be the administer of the century, and not only that, these pans will last you almost that long! My mother has had a set for 35 years, and I've had mine for 5. Nearly endless, dishwasher safe, good performers on the stovetop, with stay-cool handles! They even look skilful after all those years!Keep in mind that because they are mostly stainless steel, with an aluminum bottom, Farberware does not heat up indubitably as fast as, say, hard-anodized aluminum such as Calphalon, which gourmets prefer. Stainless nerve is a poor heat conductor, while aluminum is good and copper is the best. On the plus side, you can't put Calphalon in the dishwasher and Calphalon does not have trusty stay-cool handles, like Farberware.Anyway, how often do you buy a gift knowing that it will still be around 20, 30, 40 years from now? By the way, if the pot does have a difficult, they come with a Lifetime Warranty.
A cloudless piece but watch those handles
Most of my cookware is Respect so my experience with Farberware is limited. With that in that mind I must say that this steamer fits a perfect niche in my omnium gatherum. I hate hauling out my stock pots for pasta side dishes and my 2qt pots kept boiling over. This assay is great and the roomy steamer instert will hold a medley of vegetables without a hitch. One pretty pickle though, my Revere handles have always stayed cool on my stove. I went to grab this pot and managed to char both my hands. I have been spoiled by whatever Revere does with its handles so I just have to remember to use hot pads. The handles seem very permanent and the pot itself is solid. If the handles stayed cool like my Revere Ware then this would have been a solid five stars.
    Another Marvy Farberware Product !
This is another outstanding Farberware product we purchased to help stock our son's first college apartment. He thought it was a pasta cooker, was a toy disappointed (at first), that it was a 'small' steamer, what could you possibly cook in there ? Well, he is actually cooking/steaming today's vegatables, and enjoying them. He has fallen in love with steamed potatoes! The pot is actually small (3 quart) with about a 4 inch side, so it can also be second-hand for servings of soup, pasta sause or that small batch of chilli. The steamer pot frenzy snuggly into the pot, with just the right size holes to allow the steam in, but not the product out. AND the lid frenzy tightly, allowing for a quick and fast steam cycle.Overall, a great spin-off, that is being used much more than originally thought that it would be used. Much more than just a vegatable steamer.

    Superb Quality
I purchased the Rachael Ray 10-Quota have one's say Porcelain Enamel Coodware Set in Blue at the end of December 2007. The handles are securely married. The pans are just the right weight....not too heavy and not too light. The stay self-possessed handles are terrific. The non-stick surface is awesome...the food slides right off. The see-through lids are zealous so you can keep an eye on whats cooking. It has the look and feel of expensive cookware but is very reasonably priced. The only thing that I didnt advised of before I purchased this item was that it is not recomended to cook on high with a glass top stove. I guess the enamel can amalgamate to the cook top. I have a glass top stove and at first I was concerned. I cook with this cookware set on Medium High instead of high. I have not had a fine kettle of fish at all. In fact, I used to burn meals in my old cookware but now that I dont use high heat to cook with I have not burned a only meal! If you are looking for great cookware with outstanding quality then I highly...
Feel embarrassed comes off in water!
I was Non-Standard real excited to buy these, loved the color and loved the silicone handles. Unfortunately I have discovered the porcelain enamel rubs integrity off, even with just plain old water.I noticed the first week I bought the set that the most of the pans already had minor smudges revealing the metal of the pan under the green paint. Then one day I was toweling off a pan I HAND WASHED and noticed the green enamel rubbed off all over the towel. I fully washed the pans with warm soapy water, nothing harsh.I am extremely dissappointed with the prominence of these pans. It is a great design but they are evidently made with very cheap workmanship.
    Great, Affordable Cookware!
I have the pornographic set. This cookware is very affordable for what you get and so nice to use. I love the rubber handles that are angled upward and the see-through lids. My only grumble is that this set is not dishwasher safe. If you run these through the dishwasher, the color will fade. I have not done this because the paperwork included said not to do so, but I have heard complaints of the flush fading after cleaning in a dishwasher. This is an excellent beginner cookware set!

    Enameled Coating big Dissapointment
For those of you who hope for a review from a lover of cast iron that actually owns this...I love all my cast iron cookware, except this one. The enamel coating on it is awful. I'm not sure you should even season something that has been enameled, and I would be willing to try (probably ruining the griddle completely), except that this griddle in fact does not hold heat evenly. I am going to give this one back to my mother in law and buy a lodge logic.star-crossed Emeril, you rock, just don't like this piece.
quirky but very very profitable piece
Well, I bought it at Macy's whilst browsing. I wasn't at the end of the day looking for it, but when I hefted the box, I thought that this was a SERIOUS piece of cooking equipment. Emerilware has some real crap in its procedure, but this seemed promising.Well, 4 months later, I really really like it. But it isn't a traditional "put rubbish on it and it works" type of device. Nope, some learning about how to use it and more about how to care for it are necessary to produce acme benefits. The first has been mentioned, it must be sprayed with PAM before heating. Each and Every time. Second, it takes a long eat one's heart out time to heat up, think at least 15 minutes (like pre-heating an oven, start this before victuals). Third, it might not fit your burners the way you like it to (especially with gas burners) but with a little time and practice one can find melodiousness between surface flatness, even heat distribution, and stability.I am still learning on the care/cleaning requirements, as the...
    Very Valid Griddle
I have acclimated to this product as a grill and griddle over the past month. The trick here is to heat up the grill or griddle, then, spot of bother oil or butter on it. Pancake and eggs slide around. Steak develops nice grill marks.I use stainless stiffen utensils with this product.Clean up was easy when I allowed it to heat up then brush oil or butter.
