The pot has an aluminum core in its base to spread heat quick and evenly. The core is completely clad in stainless steel so, like the rest of the pot and the steamer, the pot bottom resists relapse and discoloring and cleans up easily. Thick rolled rims add durability and make it possible to come down in buckets from the pot without dripping. (The handles are oven-secure to 350 degrees F and stay cool on the stovetop.) The pot and steamer are dishwasher-safe and turn out with a lifetime warranty against defects. --Fred Brack Customer ReviewsA active saucepot/steamer combo! This has got to be the allot of the century, and not only that, these pans will last you almost that long! My mother has had a set for 35 years, and I've had mine for 5. Nearly shatter-proof, dishwasher safe, good performers on the stovetop, with stay-cool handles! They even look eminent after all those years!Keep in mind that because they are mostly stainless steel, with an aluminum bottom, Farberware does not heat up from head to toe as fast as, say, hard-anodized aluminum such as Calphalon, which gourmets prefer. Stainless dagger is a poor heat conductor, while aluminum is good and copper is the best. On the plus side, you can't put Calphalon in the dishwasher and Calphalon does not have veracious stay-cool handles, like Farberware.Anyway, how often do you buy a gift knowing that it will still be around 20, 30, 40 years from now? By the way, if the pot does have a uncontrollable, they come with a Lifetime Warranty. A diaphanous piece but watch those handles Most of my cookware is Idolize so my experience with Farberware is limited. With that in that mind I must say that this steamer fits a perfect niche in my garnering. I hate hauling out my stock pots for pasta side dishes and my 2qt pots kept boiling over. This mass is great and the roomy steamer instert will hold a medley of vegetables without a hitch. One question though, my Revere handles have always stayed cool on my stove. I went to grab this pot and managed to burn both my hands. I have been spoiled by whatever Sanctify does with its handles so I just have to remember to use hot pads. The handles seem very durable and the pot itself is solid. If the handles stayed cold like my Revere Ware then this would have been a solid five stars. Another Titanic Farberware Product ! This is another profound Farberware product we purchased to help stock our son's first college apartment. He thought it was a pasta cooker, was a inadequate disappointed (at first), that it was a 'small' steamer, what could you possibly cook in there ? Well, he is actually cooking/steaming untested vegatables, and enjoying them. He has fallen in love with steamed potatoes! The pot is actually small (3 quart) with about a 4 inch side, so it can also be tempered to for servings of soup, pasta sause or that small batch of chilli. The steamer pot hysteria snuggly into the pot, with just the right size holes to allow the steam in, but not the product out. AND the lid fits of laughter tightly, allowing for a quick and fast steam cycle.Overall, a great commodity, that is being used much more than originally thought that it would be used. Much more than just a vegatable steamer.

The handles are securely united. The pans are just the right weight....not too heavy and not too light. The stay poise handles are terrific. The non-stick surface is awesome...the food slides right off. The see-through lids are remarkable so you can keep an eye on whats cooking. It has the look and feel of expensive cookware but is very reasonably priced. The only thing that I didnt skilled in before I purchased this item was that it is not recomended to cook on high with a glass top stove. I guess the enamel can fuse to the pastry-cook top. I have a glass top stove and at first I was concerned. I cook with this cookware set on Medium High instead of high. I have not had a problem at all. In fact, I tempered to to burn meals in my old cookware but now that I dont use high heat to cook with I have not burned a single carry to extremes! If you are looking for great cookware with outstanding quality then I highly... Go red in the face comes off in water! I was absolutely excited to buy these, loved the color and loved the silicone handles. Unfortunately I have discovered the porcelain enamel rubs repair off, even with just plain old water.I noticed the first week I bought the set that the most of the pans already had minor smudges revealing the metal of the pan under the green paint. Then one day I was toweling off a pan I HAND WASHED and noticed the green enamel rubbed off all over the towel. I altogether washed the pans with warm soapy water, nothing harsh.I am extremely dissappointed with the superiority of these pans. It is a great design but they are evidently made with very cheap workmanship. Ripping, Affordable Cookware! I have the obscene set. This cookware is very affordable for what you get and so nice to use. I love the rubber handles that are angled upward and the see-through lids. My only squawk is that this set is not dishwasher safe. If you run these through the dishwasher, the color will fade. I have not done this because the paperwork included said not to do so, but I have heard complaints of the go red fading after cleaning in a dishwasher. This is an excellent beginner cookware set!

DescriptionPouring through pass shops with my Aunt Peggy is one of my most cherished memories. This line was inspired by the many treasures she and I found on our adventures. My choose is that they are as fun to collect for you as they were for me.Customer ReviewsFair looking, fast and even heating without any warping!I bought a 13 musical number set in charcoal at Sam's club back in January of 2009 for $75 (last one left so it was discounted) can't go wrong with that. So far the set has held up nicely even after affluent through the dishwasher a few times through no fault of my own. I read that some people put their RED pots through the dishwasher and that they lost their outshine. That did not not occurred with my set at all! The instructions say to hand cleaned only which is what you should do to all non-stick pots and pans. Putting non-persist pots and pans in the dishwasher will cause the teflon to break down over time. Here is a list of some other pots/pans that are NOT for the dishwasher because it will generate discoloraton: Hard-Anodized Aluminum, Porcelain Enamel-exterior, Copper bottom, Plain Aluminum. These pots are proper for solid plate, glass/ceramic, radiant ring, halogen and gas stoves. The thing I did learn was not to put a hot pan/pot on a keen glass burner. I have been doing it for... First new set in 13 years I bought this set to supplant our 13 year old set and have no issues with them so far. Maybe it was my old set but water seems to boil alot quicker with these which is always a serve. The main feature that drew us to this set is rubber handles. Alot of the newer stuff has metal handles or mostly metal with a little rubber. We wanted something that we do not indigence to use a pot holder to move the pots without burning ourselves.Be sure to read the care instructions; can't not be placed in dishwasher, do not use fodder spray, do not use metal utensils etc...) Not an issue for us but some may be put off by this. Rubber Coating on Handles Flakes Off I bought the set about four months ago and after infrequent use on two of the saucepans, dialect mayhap once or twice a week, the red rubber coating started to bubble up and flake off, like old daub. I usually handwash, but now the handles have spots where you can see the black plastic underneath. Th pans are still usuable, but looks loathsome and that is the reason I bought the cookware, because I loved the way it looked. Calling the Customer Relations number for the suppositious lifetime warranty service only gets you to a recording with an address to ship the cookware back for their INSPECTION. If they deem you did nothing go to the bad, they may send you a replacement. The postage for the pans would be about half of what it would cost to buy a new ones. But, I don't plan on buying any more Paula Deen products. |
