    Description

Corelle Livingware 16-Portion Set, Service for 4, includes 4-each 10-1/4-inch Dinner Plates, 6-3/4-inch Cash and Butter Plates, 18-ounce Soup/Cereal Bowls, 11-ounce Stoneware Mugs, Winter Rime
Since Corelle is conspicuous for producing dinnerware and bakeware that cannot be broken or chipped, it's hard to resist holding a plate without patchy to drop it on the tile floor to see what happens. While Corelle doesn't recommend home tests, this serendipitous 16-piece dinnerware set is still fairly indestructible and is a real asset for busy families. Livingware is casual to maintain as it's dishwasher-, microwave- and oven-safe and is never off-limits for small children to use and pat because of its light weight and durability.

The set is comprised of four 10-1/4-inch dinner plates, four 6-3/4-inch cash-and-butter plates, four 18-ounce bowls, and four 11-ounce mugs. Plates and tea set are all made of Corelle's signature material, Vitrelle, which is created from three layers of glass that are compressed under uttermost heat and laminated for strength. On the other hand, the mugs in this set are crafted of Corelle's stoneware, which is indeed breakable and has a heavier feel than Vitrelle. For diners who recall Corelle patterns as being dyed with rather cutesy floral and fruit patterns, this simple, pure white pattern is true to appeal to their modern preferences. Livingware plates and bowls sport a relaxed and rimless coupe progress and are all stackable for more efficient storage. Corelle warrants this dinnerware pattern against cracks, chips, breakage, and staining for a full year from the man of purchase. --Cristina Vaamonde

    Ideal product
It says a lot about a result like this when it's been continuously available since 1970. I've owned Corelle for most of the past 30 years. I recently bought a 17-report set from Wal-Mart (same as this + a 1-quart serving bowl) for about $24 to replace some Corelle pieces that didn't match my Winter Ice pieces and to have more place settings. The mugs are cheap stoneware made in Thailand, not Corelle. They don't fully match the Corelle and they're going to the Goodwill along with the mismatched plates and bowls, but it was still a good contract for the rest of the set.I love Corelle. All Corelle looks as if it was stamped out of a sheet of white bifocals, which is a result of the way it's made. There are no "base rings" or loop handles (which is why there have never been any Corelle mugs). The design makes Corelle very uncomplicated to wash and dry. They're very thin, and they stack with virtually no extra space in between them so they use remarkably little cubbard spell. A stack of ten...
Corelle products tempered to to be unbreakable, not anymore...
Got a 42 what for set of Livingware in winter frost white for xmas. The plates are nice and look titanic on a red tablecloth, though a few were slightly warped (you can see it when plates are stacked). However, that was not such a problem as the cups, which are of terrible trait! I did not use cups on xmas and first used them today. When I took the mugs out from a box one had a barely visible report on a side, which I did not see until poured water into it and water started sipping through the crack. Called Corelle for assurance, and they do not warranty cups! So much for a 3 year warranty! On their site and on the box it says 3 year warranty with no asterisk or further disclaimers, but in the care instructions! there is a fine print that cups are not covered. I used to like Corelle and brown study they were a reputable company, but not anymore. They outsourced cup manufacturing to Thailand and now make them out of stoneware, which is mignonne much like glass. So, if you think you are buying...
Didn't pay much, but quality every penny.
First of all, I have to say that I've now received three contrasting shipments of Corelle from Amazon and two of the boxes have been mangled beyond belief. Amazingly, the dishes have all been skilful. But I wouldn't be surprised if others have received broken plates. The set itself is just what I've been looking for, something lightweight and heavy-duty that can handle my 4 year old's abuse. My stoneware plates are all cracked and my melamine plates smell unearthly after a run through the dishwasher, but these Corelle plates are perfect. I love how well they stack. They take up very little room. And the mugs I received are anaemic. The white is slightly different from the plates because they're stoneware, not glass. But they are definitely whiter than the envision suggests. And mine are made by Corelle. It says so right on the bottom. So maybe they've improved the mugs after all the complaints. I would quite recommend this set to anyone with small children. And you might want to add some of the...

    Wouldn't reccommend
Right-minded purchased this product for our office. I was looking for melamine plates for everyday use that could withstand the dishwasher. This print has a matte finish and seems very brittle. I only purchased 1pk to check the quality out before purchasing more. I would not buy this again. The only good feature is that its cute and looks like paper plates but the surface is horrible.
    Faux Composition Plates
Very deceitfully designed to look exactly like paper plates. Very pleasing small baksheesh that is a delightful and well received
    "sheet a documents" plates
These look shockingly like paper plates, only these can go into the dishwasher without falling apart. The only thing I dislike is that they are very thick--each one looks like 10 intrinsic plates stuck together, but that hasn't stopped me from enjoying them :)

Displaying the latest in present-day aesthetics, Corelle's Square Round line consists of square plates and tea set with rounded corners, delineated round centers, and subtly lifted rims. The Unassuming Lines pattern presents a white background minimally graced by several swooping thin words of black. Corelle is the rout!
I bought this to refund a set of Corelle dinnerware we've had over 15 years. The old set start getting gray and streaky as if the years of utensils against the integument in daily use finally took a toll. When I decided to replace that set, I had no doubt that it would be with another set of Corelle. It is lightweight, dishwasher and microwave sheltered, is thin enough to not stack too high in the cabinet, and it stays nice looking even with heavy use. This set arrived well filled to the gunwales, the Corelle box and bubble packing inside another box, and everything was intact. The plates are really big! We will probably end up using the lunch plates as feast plates sometimes. The bowls also have a very large capacity, easily two cups. One main difference between this set and my old one is the coffee cups are not the same textile as the dishes... they used to be made of the same 'vitrelle' and now are porcelain. I like the new ones better; they have a skimpy more heft and keep...
    Only one mignonne fault
I sweetie these plates - they are attractive and durable. In particular, the cups and bowls are good, practical sizes. My one kick is that the black stripes are a different finish and rougher texture from the rest of the plate. On when a fork scrapes across one, we all get spine-tingles! If you are sensitive to this, you probably want to choose a sundry style. But I do highly recommend Corelle in general. My 5-yr-old cannot seem to destroy them (and he does try).
I have had this decorate for over a year
I in effect liked this pattern when it came out and immediately bought 2 sets. I am here to buy another (always compare prices).I had Corelle rising up and liked the lightweight nature of it and the durability. However, the patterns were not so hot for a while. The newer patterns are great! I gave my old saucers to a college-bound relative when I got these. It was just too hard on my hands lifting 4 stacked stoneware plates from the diswasher to the cupboard.FYI, and stoneware/porcelain/clay pots dishes with chips should be discarded as dirt/bacteria can get into the unglazed part and you can't get it out. I don't like taking chances with my relatives's safety. I have never chipped a Corelle dish. My mother did drop one at walmart and it shattered into about a zillion shards, so it is doable. The only bummer about this set is that the mugs ARE NOT corelle glass. They match but are ceramic. My old set had corelle mugs. The stain does look slightly...

Why Are American Sweets And Food Becoming So Popular Abroad ...

First of all, UK audiences have been frail to American urbanity, including the viands they eat, the food and drink they quaff and the bon-bons they get off on, through tube, coat, books and magazines. Goods stationing, chiefly in non-professional boob tube programmes like Friends, ER and other sitcoms and theatrical piece series, is base dispose and their never-ending imperturbability has permeated the consciousness of the UK consumer. The same race of spin-off array occurs in American produced films but it is becoming more and more commonplace for American products to arrive in non-US films, magazines and books, adding to the make....
