    Description

Corelle Exact 16-Piece Set, Service for 4, includes 4-each 10-1/4-inch Dinner Plates, 8-3/4-inch Lunch Plates, 22-ounce Soup/Cereal Plates,12-ounce Porcelain Mugs, Simple Lines
Displaying the latest in coetaneous aesthetics, Corelle's Square Round line consists of square plates and cutlery with rounded corners, delineated round centers, and subtly lifted rims. The Forthright Lines pattern presents a white background minimally graced by several swooping thin words of black. The effect is at once stark yet artistically appealing, creating a dinnerware pattern that can be used for familiar, year-round dining or saved for special occasion entertaining.

Like all Corelle dinnerware, Unostentatious Lines is made of laminated layers of glass that produce incredible strength while being very lightweight, thin, and stackable. Moreover, because the enamel pigments are fired onto the dinnerware, the object won't fade or scratch off over time. This 16-piece set is comprised of four of each of the following: 10-1/4-inch formal meal plate, 8-3/4-inch lunch plate, 22-ounce cereal or soup spin, and 12-ounce porcelain mug. While sudden changes in temperature should be avoided, Corelle Exact Round is safe for the microwave, oven, and dishwasher, and is covered by a 3-year warranty against chips and breakage. --Ann Bieri

    Corelle is the most!
I bought this to substitute for a set of Corelle dinnerware we've had over 15 years. The old set start getting gray and streaky as if the years of utensils against the outside in daily use finally took a toll. When I decided to replace that set, I had no doubt that it would be with another set of Corelle. It is lightweight, dishwasher and microwave unharmed, is thin enough to not stack too high in the cabinet, and it stays nice looking even with heavy use. This set arrived well full, the Corelle box and bubble packing inside another box, and everything was intact. The plates are really big! We will probably end up using the lunch plates as formal meal plates sometimes. The bowls also have a very large capacity, easily two cups. One main difference between this set and my old one is the coffee cups are not the same temporal as the dishes... they used to be made of the same 'vitrelle' and now are porcelain. I like the new ones better; they have a dab more heft and keep...
    Only one matter-of-fact fault
I tenderness these plates - they are attractive and durable. In particular, the cups and bowls are good, practical sizes. My one kick is that the black stripes are a different finish and rougher texture from the rest of the plate. Every now when a fork scrapes across one, we all get spine-tingles! If you are sensitive to this, you probably want to choose a unheard-of style. But I do highly recommend Corelle in general. My 5-yr-old cannot seem to destroy them (and he does try).
I have had this figure for over a year
I as a matter of fact liked this pattern when it came out and immediately bought 2 sets. I am here to buy another (always compare prices).I had Corelle rising up and liked the lightweight nature of it and the durability. However, the patterns were not so hot for a while. The newer patterns are great! I gave my old serving dishes to a college-bound relative when I got these. It was just too hard on my hands lifting 4 stacked stoneware plates from the diswasher to the cupboard.FYI, and stoneware/porcelain/stoneware dishes with chips should be discarded as dirt/bacteria can get into the unglazed part and you can't get it out. I don't like taking chances with my kinsmen's safety. I have never chipped a Corelle dish. My mother did drop one at walmart and it shattered into about a zillion shards, so it is achievable. The only bummer about this set is that the mugs ARE NOT corelle glass. They match but are ceramic. My old set had corelle mugs. The pigment does look slightly...

Corelle Livingware 16-On the knuckles Set, Service for 4, includes 4-each 10-1/4-inch Dinner Plates, 6-3/4-inch Currency and Butter Plates, 18-ounce Soup/Cereal Bowls, 11-ounce Stoneware Mugs, Winter Rime
Since Corelle is noted for producing dinnerware and bakeware that cannot be broken or chipped, it's hard to resist holding a plate without absent to drop it on the tile floor to see what happens. While Corelle doesn't recommend home tests, this apathetic 16-piece dinnerware set is still fairly indestructible and is a real asset for busy families. Livingware is straightforward to maintain as it's dishwasher-, microwave- and oven-safe and is never off-limits for small children to use and handle because of its unimportant weight and durability.

The set is comprised of four 10-1/4-inch dinner plates, four 6-3/4-inch cash-and-butter plates, four 18-ounce bowls, and four 11-ounce mugs. Plates and dishes are all made of Corelle's signature material, Vitrelle, which is created from three layers of glass that are compressed under exotic heat and laminated for strength. On the other hand, the mugs in this set are crafted of Corelle's stoneware, which is literally breakable and has a heavier feel than Vitrelle. For diners who recall Corelle patterns as being highlighted with rather cutesy floral and fruit patterns, this simple, pure white pattern is indubitable to appeal to their modern preferences. Livingware plates and bowls sport a relaxed and rimless coupe state of health and are all stackable for more efficient storage. Corelle warrants this dinnerware pattern against cracks, chips, breakage, and staining for a full year from the epoch of purchase. --Cristina Vaamonde

    Spot on product
It says a lot about a result like this when it's been continuously available since 1970. I've owned Corelle for most of the past 30 years. I recently bought a 17-portion set from Wal-Mart (same as this + a 1-quart serving bowl) for about $24 to replace some Corelle pieces that didn't copy my Winter Frost pieces and to have more place settings. The mugs are cheap stoneware made in Thailand, not Corelle. They don't definitely match the Corelle and they're going to the Goodwill along with the mismatched plates and bowls, but it was still a good do business for the rest of the set.I love Corelle. All Corelle looks as if it was stamped out of a sheet of white microscope spectacles, which is a result of the way it's made. There are no "base rings" or loop handles (which is why there have never been any Corelle mugs). The design makes Corelle very agreeable to wash and dry. They're very thin, and they stack with virtually no extra space in between them so they use remarkably little cubbard expanse. A stack of ten...
Corelle products habituated to to be unbreakable, not anymore...
Got a 42 draughtsman fall apart set of Livingware in winter frost white for xmas. The plates are nice and look noble on a red tablecloth, though a few were slightly warped (you can see it when plates are stacked). However, that was not such a problem as the cups, which are of terrible je sais quoi! I did not use cups on xmas and first used them today. When I took the mugs out from a box one had a barely visible instant on a side, which I did not see until poured water into it and water started sipping through the crack. Called Corelle for guarantee, and they do not warranty cups! So much for a 3 year warranty! On their site and on the box it says 3 year warranty with no asterisk or new disclaimers, but in the care instructions! there is a fine print that cups are not covered. I used to like Corelle and brainwork they were a reputable company, but not anymore. They outsourced cup manufacturing to Thailand and now make them out of stoneware, which is fetching much like glass. So, if you think you are buying...
Didn't pay much, but usefulness every penny.
First of all, I have to say that I've now received three novel shipments of Corelle from Amazon and two of the boxes have been mangled beyond belief. Amazingly, the dishes have all been sharp. But I wouldn't be surprised if others have received broken plates. The set itself is just what I've been looking for, something lightweight and sound that can handle my 4 year old's abuse. My stoneware plates are all cracked and my melamine plates smell uncanny after a run through the dishwasher, but these Corelle plates are perfect. I love how well they stack. They take up very little room. And the mugs I received are stainless. The white is slightly different from the plates because they're stoneware, not glass. But they are definitely whiter than the draw suggests. And mine are made by Corelle. It says so right on the bottom. So maybe they've improved the mugs after all the complaints. I would authoritatively recommend this set to anyone with small children. And you might want to add some of the...

    Not importance it
These are almost the worst "microwave" plates I've ever acclimated to. Sure, they don't get hot but if you need to microwave anything longer than 3 or 4 mins at a time, these plates will begin to melt. I've got some with go away-impressions where of the food I was reheating, some of them deep pits. You can't use regular flatware to cut meats or anything sitting on them effect the plastic is softer then the food and get cut too. And if you have anything that weighs more than the plate, you're going to have to use at least 2 hands to remove the laminate from the oven since they aren't strong or ridged enough--I often grab a regular non-microwavable plate to slip these plates onto since I don't want the microwave plate to fold during removale. You're better off looking for better microwavable plates. I'm using the ones I have Heraldry sinister as frisbies.
    Shocking for Microwave but scratches
The Gradual Microwave Plates are awesome for traveling as well as in home microwave cooking and reheating. After over 10 years maddening to find decent plastic plates I can use in the microwave that won't break as we travel in our RV, these things are the miracleware they promote themselves to be.They will beyond clean in the dishwasher (if we had one) and are microwave and freezer safe.Unfortunately, they are easily cut by knives, even dinner knives, leaving scratches on their integument. And I've snapped one in half after pulling it out of the microwave with hot food on it. The weight of the food slid out of the center and the sheet wasn't firm enough to take the flexing. These do flex, so they are good for all around dining, but don't expect it to carry a enormous unbalanced load of food from some holiday feast. They are simple and easy to clean, signally with the Rubbermaid recommended Dawn dish soap, which leaves the plates grease disentangle and quickly...
My Next of kin Loves Them
I purchased a set of four of these plates in June of '08 after my allay continually complained about how hot the "microwave safe" dinnerware would get in the microwave. I was used to the fact so thought it would be something just for him to use. However, we all scramble looking for them when we miss to use the microwave. My kids will not use the microwave without one and I find I look for them first as well. I am finally going to purchase 2 more sets because they have become essential.Pros: Not barely as hot as regular plates Heating is more even than the cold spots you get with other dishesCons: They do stain (but, so what you don't serve guests with them) They do off (again, no big deal they are not costly to replace.)Overall, well worth the few bucks
