Exceptional brand, well made, sturdy, and easy to use
I've had this convection oven for a while now and in use accustomed to it for many types of things. I wanted something that, because I cook for just myself quite a bit, I could use for baking, broiling, etc, without cranking up the big oven. The microwave is best, but it's not the best choice for many things. Anyway, this convection oven is fitting the bill very well.The unit is attractive and I find the size to be perfect. Not only does it go well on one of my cookhouse counters, but the inside is a great size too. As they say, it will easily fit a 13x9" baking pan. It comes with a lightweight, nonstick pan that is about 9x10" that is very serviceable. Do know, however, that it IS a lightweight pan and will warp up on diagonally opposite sides during baking. It does go back exactly afterward, but it is noteworthy. Since this pan is, by far, not that integral part of the unit I didn't find this to be a deal breaker. I have plenty of other pans to use. this is an very hands down oven to use!! It does everything it supposed to and cooking it a breeze!! a lot of options that makes it even easier to cook with.

OH SO Ladylike!!
I've only had the oven a scarcely while, but so far I love it. Gets up to temp quickly, runs very quietly even on convection. The shade selector and timer seem to industry perfectly. Everything I've cooked in it so far has turned out really well. I am glad I purchased this product

Feel remorse for, regret, regret
I had very high hopes for this oven. It has the Calphalon name on it. Their PR jot up sounds so promising. The warranty is good. The oven is handsome. Too bad it fails as an oven though. I tested this oven thoroughly upon take. I knew I had to make sure this was a keeper given the price. Save your money and buy a $60 toaster oven. It is worthy to share that I never use a 'big' oven. Normal ovens pull 3500 watts. They cost a fortune and the stupefying majority of people don't need such a cavernous appliance. So I bake a lot and everything in countertop ovens. This oven suffers from bad draft flaws. You can only use the middle rack position or you will burn the top or bottom of your food. There is almost no internal clearance for anything but the shallowest casserole dish. If you use the structure in the inverted position facing downwards (it has a 'dip' design to - not flat) and pull the rack out to safely waste the dish, the dish slides at a fast clip right out...
Groceries temperatures
The element looks great, and as long as you keep an oven thermometer in there while you are cooking, it will serve you well. For the Calphalon name and price of the unit, the thermostat should be better calibrated.I have found that the constituent depending on its mood will be anywhere from 25 to 50 degrees off. For example to cook at 350 you must set it to around 375 or 400.I would not advisable this to anyone who wants to bake fine deserts.This is not a singe unit test. I thought the first one I had was bad, so I returned it. The patronize one works the same way.Hope this helps.
Wiped out design - doesn't heat evenly - don't purchase
The herself who wrote the 'gadgets' review is exactly right - I won't re-write what was written but the Calphalon name is on this product and it's penniless...at best. Doesn't heat evenly, have to rotate the pans - not much fits - if you have yeast rolls that knoll, they'll hit the top burner and burn as mine did, the pan falls out onto your lap and on and on it goes. Poor design, wish I hadn't purchased -- but I trusted the Calphalon name.
