Works outstanding, except for thumbs
As with all my reviews with reference to kitchen gear, they are from two perspectives: mine (of course), and my spouse's. I'm just a regular kitchen schmo, but she is a virtuoso chef who has attended culinary school.We've had these oven mitts for about a year now, and we're both more-or-less pretty thrilled with them. I mostly just use them for when I bake cookies and pizzas, which I feel is pretty representative of your typical blistering usage. When it comes to oven mitts, I have a low bar for satisfaction: do they fit and do they keep my hands cool? In this case, they do.My spouse uses them altogether a bit more extensively than I do; she bakes nearly every single day and uses them for handling a lot of cast-iron cookware. Her prime complaint is that the shape and silicon coating makes it difficult to use them with a natural thumb gesticulation. To clarify, it's easy to move your thumb into your hand (i.e. thumb touching the side of your index finger), but unaccommodating to move...

Too Big!
This is an effectual and high-quality oven mitt, but it's definitely not one-size fits all. I don't have small hands, and this is way too big for me. There's an inch or so of hiatus at the top of the mitt, and it feels like my hand's swimming around in it. It makes it very hard to do any delicate gripping. My helpmeet's hands are fairly small, and these don't work well at all for her.Also, and this is entirely my fault for not reading more carefully, but it's value reminding that this is only ONE mitt. I'd assumed it would be a pair.
A honest Winner
Fancy it...I first tried the Caphalon red pot holder...I just don't like these all silicone pieces...and this give you the best of both worlds...grade fabric that does not fade or shrink plus the durability and heat resistant caphalon... so I ordered another po holder and a mitt...steady red and lovely in my red themed apple kitchen.

Unsurpassed oven mitts EVER!!
I was auspicious enough to receive a pair of these wonderful oven mitts for Christmas and I have never owned any that were better! They unexceptionally protect Your hands, wrists and arms! The silicone stripes provide a very non-slip help which is another reason why Ive never had a better pair. No more hot glass casseroles slipping out of my hands! I cant say enough good things about these mitts. Buy them! You wont guilt it!

oven mitt
My old mitt was starting to give me burned fingers, so I got 2 of these. It takes a bit of getting acquainted with to, because when you take something from the oven it feels like it's sticking to the mitt, but it's not. They look good and work fine

Immaculate potholder...but get a dark color
I've had the orange and na ones for about a year now, and have to say they are the only potholders I can recommend to anyone (others are too big, too small, too stiff, not enough padding, horrible prints, etc...). They are ergonomic, perfectly the right size, and the clear silicone ensures no slipping. That being said, the silicone attracts dust and rubbish and food and even after repeated washings, the potholders still look filthy due to grungy silicone (though they are still as utilitarian as new). I just bought some new ones in black and will keep the old ones in a drawer (nice to have an extra set of 2 when others in coat). You can't go wrong with these.

Calphalon potholders
As with many things that I get overused of because of their mediocrity, I decided to come to Amazon to see if there were better potholders than the cheap, thin ones we have occupied for years. A little research, a couple days of waiting for them to arrive and voila! I'll very likely never buy another kind of potholder in my life! I got two of these and I couldn't be more pleased. The silicone is sticky (maybe grippy would be a healthier word), they look great and they are very heat resistant. The other day I was forced to hold a super hot pan for well over a transcript and although my hands did get warm, they were nowhere near being so hot that I couldn't have kept holding it. Just a few days before we received these I was racing to put down a casserole that I had been holding for about five seconds with our accepted holders. Not anymore. Great product!
Dont let it lose one's footing
this its the paramount that i've seen around, and ever owned. it has strips of silicone all around the material giving you a nice confy travelling.
