Pan is Active, But the Rack Leaves Something to be Desired
I purchased this pan to have a go at a prime rib roast for Christmas dinner. The pan itself is very heavy, solid and distrubutes the heat well. One article I do not like about other roasting pans that I have purchased is sometimes the pan juices seem to burn in the oven which results in no "pan goodness" to produce gravy with. I have used this pan multiple times and never had that issue- the bits and pieces will brown, but do not get a burned juiciness. I attribute this to the construction of the pan and the heaviness of the weight. I would give the pan a solid 5 stars, but the rack that comes with this pan unhesitatingly started peeling and rusting even though I ran it in the dishwasher and promptly removed it. So what is a girl to do?I bought the William Bounds silicon roasting anguish (from Amazon) and now use this with my pan. I could have purchased a replacement rack for $19 or paid shipping and handling to get a replacement adversity through the warranty, but I have been very impressed...
Remarkable Value
I researched many roaster pans before I settled on this and am I happy I did. It offers a truly stovetop worthy construction, no bending or warping, a great v hat-tree, and superb heat distribution. The handles are comfortable and the pan fits perfectly in the oven. Compared to the AllClad, it is less extravagant and better performance. A well thought out pan.

Excessive roasting pan
This pan is fair the right size and weight for large roasts and turkeys. The clean up was easy and although it is dishwasher safe, per the use and disquiet guide, I didn't find it necessary. I cook rib roasts using very high heat for 15 - 20 minutes depending on the hundred of ribs and then turn off the heat and let it set in the oven for a couple hours. The key to this working is even heat dissemination and even loss of heat as the oven cools. It worked like a dream, no surprises. I have other Calphalon pots and pans and have been a fan for years - this is no take offence - excellent!

The Jeep Enormous Cherokee of Roasting Pans
Most of my pastry-cook- and bakeware is of the hard-anodized Calphalon ilk. That said, I will admit that the Calphalon was not my first choice for a roasting pan. I will also admit that my first acceptance was the shiny, uptown All-Clad Roti. And I will even be so brazen as to admit that the Roti was my first choice because (a) it is radiant, (b) it is All-Clad, and (c) I am not immune to the whole cache of All-Clad and that whole "kitchen-bling" thing that it has going on. But then I realized that for the cost of the Roti, I could get the Calphalon, a 25 beat turkey, two bags of cranberries, a bottle of wine, and a vintage cookie jar that I have had my eye on.This pan, like all my stove-tops items, fared astoundingly well. The handles are very sturdy. At first, I was a little perturbed by the fact that the handles tilt in (i.e., over the interior of the pan, rather than sticking out), but then I quick realized that this was handy for many reasons. I thought the pan was easier...

Bad bang for your buck!
This ingredient was a great value after free shipping and promotional discounts. I am no gourmet chef, but this worked wholly well with my stuffed chicken.
Makes provisions a great turkey sooo much easier!
This is a adroit pan and the accessories are also great. The handles really make it possible to lift the pan without getting burned or having to bete noire dropping it. And the injector baster is great--it really make the bird taste top!Excellent product. I'm getting one for my sister, who's a professional cook.
