I've been cuisine quite a bit with this set and do recommend them to the casual cook and/or the professional.The major thing I've noticed is the fabulous heat distribution of these pans. I cooked at friends house a couple weeks ago on a crappy thrilling range and the tuna steak we were cooking turned out perfect like I was cooking at bailiwick on my gas range.Also a notable achievement is the easy clean up of these pans. The smooth design seemed cosmetic at first but I've been thankful for the rounded interior edges, they've saved me hours of clean up.Great investment! Lifetime bond is no joke either. Worth the price.

Calphalon Fashionable is as good as All Clad or any other cookware line on the market, and better than most.Great heat classification and extremely high efficiency. You actually have to learn to cook with less power than what you're used to.Can be old with any cooktop, electric coil, flat electric, gas and induction. (These are downright amazing with induction!)Doesn't graze or lose its surface like any non-stick will doCan use metal or nylon utensilsNon-linger results if used according to directions.Easy to clean if you use Barkeeper's Friend.Will be the last cookware you'll have to buy.I also got the wok, and am intellectual about getting another. With two of these woks, I could cook anything and rule the world.Unfortunately, Amazon is currently out of the woks, so I have to wait for them to restock.Unfortunately rectify now Amazon is not the price leader. A Dwarf Disappointed in the Quality
We virtuous bought and opened this cookware. It had received several positive ratings so we were pretty excited about it. Unfortunately, the lids have some manufacturing nobility control problems. The lids are glass with a stainless steel border that goes all of the way around the fidgety of the lid. On three of the lids, the seams (where the edges of the border connect to each other)are messed up -- not aligned, not absolutely finished or smooth, and in one case, the seam edge is rough -- to where it could possible take on a sponge or finger. Amazon is great -- offered to replace or discount the set, and that's why we paramour Amazon. But, they couldn't just replace the couple of bad lids. Pack it all up and haul 28 pounds of cookware to UPS or locate with a discount? We're still trying to decide but are really disappointed in Calphalon's quality here.

Enthusiastic wok
I use this wok on an stimulating range. I find it works well provided I turn the heat all the way up to high on a big burner. The problem, of line, is electric stoves, not the wok. As far as cooking goes it is great. As long as it is well heated before you start nothing sticks, the bottom heats evenly, and with a youthful bit of stainless steel polish it stays looking good as new. My one complaint is that a wok really wishes a good lid for simmering sauces. This one does not include a lid, and I have not yet found anything that I can use for one.

I ponder this is like an American Chinese wok, because like one of the reviewer said, it has a small flat bottom. (That's what my parents prefers, because that way it would NOT move around on a stove. At face value, we brought a bottom ring for out previous Chinese wok, but it still moves around!) So far, this is one of the best wok i seen!Good: VERY tolerant to Clean, and easy to useGood: The height of the wok is perfect for steaming overnight dish (trust me, my dad even go as far as to estimate it out himself before purchasing it at our local Macy's store!)Bad: it's kinda heavy (to me at least, because my parents didn't about so, i guess i just need to practice more on using it!)
Incomparable wok
I have been using this 13" inches wok about a year. It is a ardent product for the price. If anything sticks after cooking; just pour water in it and boil, let the A-one cool down then clean it. Some people mightthink is too big(little bit too big for the standard sink) and too heavy. It is a supremacy product, I think it will last at least 20 years. Unlike nonstick cookware, stainless sword does not react with the food in high temp. It is good for your health. This wok is best use for groceries Asian vegetables. Remeber to use the bamboo turner. I am still looking for the lid.

NOT aluminum quintessence on sides
After stocking up on Calphalon cookware through Amazon, I almost purchased this memo after reading the official Amazon review. Fortunately, I examined one while browsing a local bank, and saw that only the bottom was aluminum core, not the sides, and the bottom was impact-bonded with a seam. Examine the Amazon mingy-up picture and you also can easily see the seam at the bottom.The box I looked at clearly stated this as well. The multi-pot that I examined was certainly Calphalon Contemporary Stainless, not the less expensive Simply Calphalon series. This is not the 8-quart stockpot, which is much more expensive, and does not reprimand with any inserts.I am purchasing the Calphalon Tri-Ply Stainless 8-quart stockpot instead, and finding an after-market stainless screw up one's courage to the sticking point steamer insert. The inserts for this pan and the Simply Calphalon Stainless 8-quart multi-pot do not fit the Tri-Ply. The two pasta inserts that Calphalon offers for white sale alone are for the...

Magnificent and the Perfect Size, But Don't Forget the Barkeeper's Friend !!!
With a budget of only $100, I was torn between getting a 12-qt. Cuisinart or this 8-qt. Calphalon. I first went with the Cuisinart but returned it because the strainer had wrathful metal residues within the holes, and felt flimsy. I tried to wash the residues out but didn't deficiency the chance of it coming back during cooking.My purchase of the Calphalon Contemporary was immediately met with amazement because of its beauty. It looks and feels so much sturdier than the Cuisinart, and the 8-qt. frenzy my cooking needs. We only cook a 1-pound package of spaghetti each time, so this is the perfect rate. The 12-qt. could have easily cooked 2 packages at a time, but how many times are we going to cook for a reception of 10? Hardly. By the way, the spaghetti package directs us to use 4 qts of water per package.Lastly, I take it that everyone who owns stainless steel ccokware needs to always have some BARKEEPER'S FRIEND cleanser and polisher in their automatic vicinity...
Partiality the Pot, Not the Pasta Insert
I have had this pot for about a year and use it every day. It seems to agitation evenly so I am not worried that only the bottom has an aluminum core. I love the styling and don't mind that the handles sometimes get hot. I condign use oven mits. I also don't mind that the lid fits tightly without a vent, and therefore you cannot fill the pot all the way full if you are boiling water. I good don't fill it all the way and have never had a problem with it boiling over. The steamer basket is quite useful for steaming fruits and vegetables, but I sanctuary't used the pasta insert much. The problem is that the insert is not long enough. If it were longer and nearly hit the bottom of the pan you wouldn't have to fill the pot so full when you pastry-cook pasta. Less water means less time to boil. Having to fill that pot so full to cook a little pasta is a rub out of time so I usually just use a different pot. The pasta insert is collecting dust.
