It is fine when cold, but once quickened (even to medium), it starts warping. Still fries fine, but the heat will not be distributed as evenly as one would foist...Otherwise nice looking pan and seems like a nice non-stick surface. Brilliant "everything" pan This is the pan that you can pastry-cook anything in. Great for cooking stir fry or pan fry dumplings. The non-stick coating is excellent. Easy to glaze and clean. Well-made hinges. Good quality pot. Love that it comes with lid. The pot is not as heavy as I thought, which makes it easier to bath remove in the sink.The only con I have is that the smaller handle still gets a little hot and the rubber grip on that handle seems like it might advance off one day if not careful. Other than that, we use this pot very frequently (several times a week) and enjoy it very much. If using this pot, I highly recommend rations with bamboo or wood utensils so you won't scratch up the non-stick coating. I would recommend this pot to others and would buy again. Ripping pan This pan is devoted - it's deep so that you can cook a stove-top stew in it, yet not so deep that you can't fry a few pork chops in it. You can fit around 3 largish pork lips flat in it, but I really enjoy this pan. It's heavy duty, is hefty, and the lid is see-through, so you can see how your food is coming along. The lid also frenzy the 12" hard-anodized cookpan if you have that one also, I found out *switched lids one day* This is better quality for a wee more than at Walmart, so spend a little more, and get this pan instead. |

I found this on white sale someplace and remembered that America's Test Kitchen liked the , and figured it was worth a attempt since it was from the same line. It was more money than I'm used to spending for this item, but I got a nice deal on it, so I went for it. I have been very blithe with it. I love the big 5 qt size as I can make just about anything in it.I love the helper loop as that makes it much easier to move the pan when it's full of prog. Also,... Calphalon Nonstick 5 Quart Saute Pan - Eminent Pan This is a skilled all around pan if you are looking for something larger than a fry pan. Great for larger meals. Not as heavy as regular calphalon which makes it easier to move around. Excellent pan for just about everything We were delineated this as a wedding gift 3+ years ago. Then I left it on the cooker and it slightly burnt the bottom. We continued to use it without problems since (justified a little harder to clean). Now we just bought a new one as it is the most used pan we have. AWESOME product. |

That would have helped me a LOT if anyone - including the fabricator - had bothered to do so. This is a 12" pan measured across the top. It is a 6.25" pan measured across the flat bottom. The sides curve up from there, to a summit of 3.25". The handle is 7.5" long, with 4.5" of that insulated. |
