After all, I had a large George Foreman, and hand-me-down it very rarely. But I was running out of cookware to shop for <grin>, and began tracking several with the plan of buying the first one that came on at a prodigious price.... I tracked both All Clads, and this one. I almost bought the large All Clad, but discovered they didn't equipped for the Amazon promotion, so that blew that! Then this one came up at $29.99 and I jumped all over it! I have done beef steaks, pork steaks and salmon on it with super results. Cleanup, though not a breeze, is quick enough. Cooking residue tends to stick tighter on either side of the rounded ribs, but I have yet to lack anything more than a little dish soap and hot water on a terry dish cloth. One caveat - I sincerely doubt those with solid top Electric Ranges will be satisfied with this... who wishes a pannini pan? This is the cultivate hamburger or grilled fish pan -- and it also makes great panninis, so you don't have to clutter up your kitchenette with an extra single-use pan. Fits 4 burgers at a time and as long as you take care of it properly, sears nicely without anything sticking. More practical than the round shape, and easier to get the spatula in to turn things. Highly recommended. Remarkable pan so far Pros - Very nonstick, browns nutriment well even if it's nonstick, easy to clean up, easy to carry, stay cool metal handles, practical shape and size. Cons - Like all nonstick, can't use high heat. I've only had this pan a week, so I'm not persuaded how well it will hold up, but it's performed excellently so far. I used it to sear a whole beef tenderloin (before transferring to a roasting pan for the oven). The instructions said to escape high heat, so I seared it over the equivalent of medium high heat on my 22K burner. The roast browned attractively and I got good grill marks in the center (not as much towards the corners, but maybe because I didn't brown long enough). Unclutter up was a breeze, with a couple drops of dishwashing liquid, hot water, and a soft bristle thicket to scrub lightly. I've also fried bacon, and the square shape makes it effortlessly to pour out the rendered fat. It's been easier & faster to preheat this pan than to...

DescriptionCalphalon Unison Nonstick 12 Inch Pear-shaped Grill PanCustomer ReviewsWhen out of doors grilling isn't an optionI'm an open-air grill cook -- big time. I got the Calphalon Grill Pan as a birthday present, and I must admit I wasn't too enthused. Why would you hanker after to pretend to grill indoors, right? Well, a nice steak and a rainy day gave me the opportunity to try my pan. I suitable for eating the steak over medium heat on an electric range, and the results were fantastic. I ate the tenderest steak I've ever ripe on a stovetop, rivaling the tenderness I get from the grill. Sure, you can't mimic the flavor of cooking on an outdoor grill, but the look (grill marks) and tenderness were like. I got a slightly sauteed taste because I had a trace of butter and oil in the pan -- enough to make a thin layer coating the bottom. The drop was definitely different from an outdoor grill, but regardless the meat tasted excellent. I seasoned it lately like I would for the grill before cooking. Being a natural skeptic, but enthused by the results with the steak, I unambiguous to try the pan... Wonderful grill pan, effortless to use, easy to clean! I purchased this along with the and fancy it! The "nonstick sear" surface used on this grill pan does just what it says, giving unbiased enough grip to hold meat in place while still releasing easily when flipping the meat or removing it from the pan. I will up to that I have not used this pan anywhere near as much as the griddle, but that is simply because we do not grill a lot of meats on the stove. I have done several steaks, however, and they came out sensational and delicious. I'm usually a picky eater and never eat the fat on a steak, but this pan cooked a ribeye so well... Low-calibre Calphalon This pan heats unevenly to the projection where it simultaneously burns and undercooks food. We have not had this problem with our older Calphalon or All-Clad pans. The uneven torridness distribution is undoubtedly related to the thickness of the aluminum. The bottom of the pan is 3.9mm thick. Our older Calphalon pans are 5.5mm thick--40% thicker! Indeed the pans abide lightweight and cheap, similar to non-stick pans you buy at the local supermarket. I suggest you elude this pan and either buy a cheaper item of similar quality or hunt for better quality. This pan also has not done a great job at striping provisions.

DescriptionUnfathomable-gauge hard anodized aluminum pan has a raised, grooved cooking surface so the fats and oils unreservedly drain away from your burgers, poultry and fish as they cook. And for easy clean up, the centre's cooking surface is treated with a nonstick material. The multi-riveted, Cool Initiate arch-vent handle pulls the heat through and away from the pan keeping it cool so elongated as it's on the stovetop. Note: Not intended for induction, ceramic, and glass cooktop surfaces. Because of the pan's raised, ridged cooking surface, the bottom portion is not entirely flat and will not lie flush against your stovetop surface, preventing the intensity from penetrating all of your food.Customer ReviewsFantastic grill panI was using my George Overseer grill for almost everything, but decided that once in a while I didn't want to clean the grill pans and I would rather cook on the stove, so I ordered this Calphalon grill pan. I have other Calphalon products and they postpone up very well. The non stick finish makes it super easy to clean. I do not use any non stick spray oils in any of my pans valid olive oil, butter or canola since it is my understanding that the non stick sprays can ruin the finish. I also transfer wash my pans. So far, I am very pleased with this pan for the price and the durability. Boisterous Quality, Light, Easy to Clean. It's perfect! I've had this grill pan for about 5 months now, and I use it regularly (a few times a week). It's imposing! It's such a time saver, since I can grill right on the stove without having to start up the outdoor grill. This is remarkably true if I only need to grill up a few pieces of meat or make a quick grilled cheese sandwich or if there's a thunderstorm face and I really want to make a burger...I heat up the pan, do what I need, and that's it. Coming from a guy who loves to BBQ and grill, the only quirk you'll miss is (obviously) the smoky flavor (nothing a little liquid smoke can't fix), but you'll get everything else-- the sear, the char, and the grill marks. The tolerant cleaning is probably what won me over. 8 out of 10 times, I just let the pan cool naturally on the stove, and then settle back later in the night to wipe clean with a paper towel and then rinse under warm O by hand/soft sponge with a little bit of dish soap. A handful of times when... Calphalon Grill Pan I can't take it as given not having this pan. It is perfect for hamburgers and bacon because it keeps whatever you are cooking/grilling out of the fat. This pan is light enough that it heats up very with all speed while still feeling sturdy. |

Insupportable-reckon tiring anodized aluminum pan has a raised, wavy pastry-cook dinnering whip so the fatss and oils at bottom empty in a different place from your burgers, chicken and fish as they pastry-cook feast. The multi-riveted, Unapproachable Against refer to artful-send handle with pulls the quicken through and in a different place from the pan protecting it relaxed as great as it can be on the stovetop. Because of the pan’s raised, ribbed pastry-cook dinnering fa, the beneathside part is completely no lengthyer fully fixed and won’t lie gush against your stovetop outside,...

Calphalon Unison Nonstick 12-Inch Round Grill Pan Review
Well, a small steak and a rainy day gave me the moment to try my pan. Unswerving, you can't feigned the freshness of fodder on an open-air grill, but the look (grill marks) and tenderness were equivalent. I got a slightly sauteed drop because I had a vestige of cooking oil and oil in the pan -- enough to judge a thin layer coating the bottom. The drop was patently distinct from an alfresco grill, but regardless the flesh tasted but for.

I have a grill pan question..?
-I upstanding bought a calphalon grill pan from Macy's and it is inon-stick.
- I have a nice 1 inch thick steak without a prepare in my freezer.
I would like to know

I pastry-cook a lot of things in my grill pan - chicken, burgers, hot dogs, veggies, pretty much everything you can throw on an open-air grill. The flavor won't be exactly the same, but it's better than nothing. (Nothing beats the flavor of charcoal,
