It is also a skillet, fry pan, and saute pan- this faithful little pan could quickly become your most versatile, most used pan. If you are making an omelette, 3 eggs will fit explicitly in the pan. The heavy gauge hard anodized aluminum construction guarantees great even heating throughout. The 3ply nonstick dispose of ensures that everything will just slip out of the pan- you don't even need to use fats or oils (but if you can it will great enhance the moistness). The Calphalon exclusive nonstick finish is guaranteed to never chip or peel, but always use nylon or wood utensils to screen the surface from scratches. This pan like all Contemporary Nonstick can go in the oven to 450 degrees. The "mischievous vent" handle resists heat and keeps the handle cool to the touch on the stovetop. Take a shower your Contemporary Nonstick with a "Dobie" pad (nylon mesh covered sponge) and warm sudsy not ring true, the exterior only can be cleaned with Comet/Ajax and a scotchbrite pad.     Cooks omlettes evenly and best all purpose pan
    There are a lot of things to fervour about this pan. First, it's heavy enough to keep eggs from scorching. Second, it's truly non-stick...even using cooking eiderdown, our omlettes slide out of the pan in one beautiful piece. Third, it's got great heat conductivity, which allows for even foodstuff (critical with omlettes, fried eggs, etc.) Fourth, it's so easy to clean, I reach for it for more than at most cooking eggs. We use it as a small saute pan and our vegetables never stick. The pan can also be put in the oven to keep food friendly, a nice feature. This was a real find.
    Indeed great pan
    This is indeed a tickety-boo pan, nonstick surface is wonderful and it conducts heat beautifully on my smooth cooktop. The coating did, however, froth just to the side of the rivets inside the pan.
    it's okay... but
    We bought this pan 1 1/2 years ago and use it a lot, but the non tolerate part is coming off and we never put it in the dishwasher and only use the plastic utensils. so.. for $29.50 it's okay, but don't expect it to last a life habits. calphalon will send you a new one, but you have to mail in your old one first...

    This is a gem!
    Only just so you understand my perspective, I am somewhat obsessed with kitchen appliances (waffle makers in meticulous). I make protein waffles in big batches for my kids every week or so, and freeze the extras. For many years I hardened a Vitantonio Premier Classic Waffler, but finally got tired of standing there for a really extensive time while cooking waffles one-by-one. The waffles also were never quite as crisp as I liked. So, then began my crusade for the perfect waffle maker (which I define as having medium to large capacity, and the knack to quickly and consistently produce crispy and perfectly golden waffles). I purchased and tested many, many waffle makers over the go over of 16 months, ultimately gathering an inventory of 13 waffle makers of different shapes and vintages.     This waffle maker offers constant service in the crafting of waffles. The unit sits authoritatively on your counter. It offers no horseshit crispness selection and rings politely when the waffles are done. There really is no need to peek, so the promotion is true. In the space of five minutes, you can have breakfast for two; or ten minutes for breakfast for four. You may have to make a batch at each backdrop to get a feel for the degree of crispness offered.     I am fairly picky when it comes to appliances and cookware. My wife and I wanted a waffle maker that would obtain more than one waffle, so that our family of three could all eat at the same time. Our old waffle maker made just one lousy waffle and then would take forever to discern the next waffle for the next person. Not a fun way to eat a "family" breakfast on Sunday morning.     Like this more than I meditation I would.....
    I had been toying with the objective of a non-stick "grill pan" for some time, and could never justify the expense... After all, I had a large George Supervisor, and used it very rarely. But I was running out of cookware to shop for <grin>, and began tracking several with the propose of buying the first one that came on at a great price.... I tracked both All Clads, and this one. I almost bought the sturdy All Clad, but discovered they didn't qualify for the Amazon promotion, so that blew that! Then this one came up at $29.99 and I jumped all over it! I have done grouse steaks, pork steaks and salmon on it with excellent results. Cleanup, though not a breeze, is testy enough. Cooking residue tends to stick tighter on either side of the rounded ribs, but I have yet to need anything more than a spoonful dish soap and hot water on a terry dish cloth. One caveat - I seriously be uncertain those with solid top Electric Ranges will be satisfied with this...

    This is the realize hamburger or grilled fish pan -- and it also makes great panninis, so you don't have to clutter up your Nautical galley with an extra single-use pan. Fits 4 burgers at a time and as long as you take care of it properly, sears nicely without anything sticking. More worthwhile than the round shape, and easier to get the spatula in to turn things. Highly recommended.
    Significant pan so far
    Pros - Very nonstick, browns comestibles well even if it's nonstick, easy to clean up, easy to carry, stay cool metal handles, worthwhile shape and size. Cons - Like all nonstick, can't use high heat. I've only had this pan a week, so I'm not certain how well it will hold up, but it's performed excellently so far. I used it to sear a whole beef tenderloin (before transferring to a roasting pan for the oven). The instructions said to keep away from high heat, so I seared it over the equivalent of medium high heat on my 22K burner. The roast browned smashingly and I got good grill marks in the center (not as much towards the corners, but maybe because I didn't brown hanker enough). Clean up was a breeze, with a couple drops of dishwashing liquid, hot water, and a non-physical bristle brush to scrub lightly. I've also fried bacon, and the square trim makes it easy to pour out the rendered fat. It's been easier & faster to preheat this pan than to...
