    Works superior, except for thumbs
As with all my reviews Non-Standard irregardless kitchen gear, they are from two perspectives: mine (of course), and my spouse's. I'm just a regular kitchen schmo, but she is a official chef who has attended culinary school. We've had these oven mitts for about a year now, and we're both more-or-less pretty light-hearted with them. I mostly just use them for when I bake cookies and pizzas, which I feel is pretty representative of your typical glowing usage. When it comes to oven mitts, I have a low bar for satisfaction: do they fit and do they keep my hands cool? In this case, they do.My spouse uses them unreservedly a bit more extensively than I do; she bakes nearly every single day and uses them for handling a lot of cast-iron cookware. Her chief complaint is that the shape and silicon coating makes it difficult to use them with a natural thumb sign. To clarify, it's easy to move your thumb into your hand (i.e. thumb touching the side of your index finger), but recondite to move...
    Too Big!
This is an stuff and high-quality oven mitt, but it's definitely not one-size fits all. I don't have small hands, and this is way too big for me. There's an inch or so of while at the top of the mitt, and it feels like my hand's swimming around in it. It makes it very hard to do any delicate gripping. My helpmate's hands are fairly small, and these don't work well at all for her. Also, and this is entirely my fault for not reading more carefully, but it's benefit reminding that this is only ONE mitt. I'd assumed it would be a pair.
    A true Winner
Proclivity it...I first tried the Caphalon red pot holder...I just don't like these all silicone pieces...and this give you the best of both worlds...supremacy fabric that does not fade or shrink plus the durability and heat resistant caphalon... so I ordered another po holder and a mitt...sincerely red and lovely in my red themed apple kitchen.

    Passion these pans...
I purchased a two stall of the 8 and 10" skillets from Macy's this past summer. All my pans work great. I find they are a bit like shipwreck throw off iron. Once they heat up (on medium), they retain their heat and cook evenly. I use medium fervour, and can often get by with med-low. No warping or flaking yet. (The key is to not use any more heat than necessary - excessive high heat can ruin most skillets) I also got a griddle which is the Calphalon One Infused Anodized - their top plan. I love it as well, and would purchase either again. I went mostly with the Contemporary line due to lower price. Be sure to peruse the packaging to see what line you are getting, as they have several lines out there. There is the 'infused anodized' and the 'hard anodized', nonstick and without the nonstick, etc.Probe out their website for more information.[...]
    Heinous pans!
These pans have cool heavy bottoms. I don't have too many gripes, except it would have been nice if the handles were welded to the outside instead of being bolted in. Makings will stick to the bolts.I just cook neater and avoid the bolts, and I'm fine.We use these pans for thus EVERYTHING that can be cooked on a stovetop!SHIPPING was SUPER FAST!!!*** UPDATE *** September 10, 2008But product UNTIL we had guests who "helped us" clean up and put them in our super heavy duty dishwasher... After that, the perfect was never the same. I have ALWAYS hand washed my non stick pans. I'm afraid the trip through the dishwasher killed them. Now, our dishwasher is beastly, much more harsh than the average dishwasher, i have to admit. We still use them, I'm a fan of the heavy bottoms and even distribution of heat. But now, I have to use foodstuff spray to keep food particles from sticking :(
    Favorite pans
These are the pans that get utilized in my house almost every day. They are heavy which distributes the heat evenly, but make the big one difficult to carry when it's full. The nonstick surfaces are speculator than most, but don't last forever. After about 4 years of frequent use, they started sticking a bit.

    Pre-eminent Wok I've Owned
I've owned several woks through the years with diverse coatings, not coated(cast iron) and this is the most durable trouble free wok I've owned. I've tempered to it for high temp stir fry, searing, sauces and recipes that require finishing up in the oven. I followed the directions on the first sauce and care instructions and have not had any finish degradation at all. I'm very happy with this pan as I head into the 2nd year of ownership.
    Fondness IT!
I had a worthless wok several years ago - everything stuck and it was miserable to cook with. So I was litlle skeptical that this wok would be any different --- I was pleasantly surprised. I have utilized it a number of time with fabulous results. The non-stick surface is great!I highly second being careful about the oil you use --- I typically cook with EVO, but for high temp cooking, use something like peanut oil. Stirfrys ramble out resturant quality! I am particularly pleased with the see-through lid - perfect for steaming or watching quick-rations items. Amazon offers one of the best prices that I've seen for Caphalon, too. Great offering.
    Supremacy Is Not Very Good
It is non-charge alright. However, the interior coating is easily scratched but using nylon spatula. I sent mine in for a replacement. The new one I received has precisely the same problem. It leads me to believe that the whole product line has the same quality. I would recommend for a $17 14" Carbon Sword Wok from Walmart. It is non-stick when seasoned correctly. I've been using one for three months now and it is very nice. I owned at least two sets of Calphalon cookware. Both are their acme end product lines. The quality is going downhill and the price remains high.

Calphalon and Bed Bath & Beyond

It seemed like a complete sell, and for the well-heeled, what the heck. At first I was in reality thrilled with the pan, but over on one occasion it didn't speechify on up. I've gone through two pans so far, and based on my practice with this Calphalon face I won't buy another Absolutely Calphalon pot. I brought the pan in to the adjoining shop today and, no questions asked, got a replacement pan - #3. It's the same pan, and although I'm not thrilled with it, getting a new one seems like an passable selection....

How to know if your stainless steel pan is safe in the oven?

I bought this pan years ago from Bed, Bath, and Beyond. I didn't pay much for it - under $40, as I recantation. I didn't save the instructions and I'm not even sure what the brand is, although I think it's Calphalon.
