    Description

Set includes: 8" omelette, 10" omelette, and 12" omelette, 3qt chefs casserole with counterbalance, 7qt chefs casserole with cover, and 2.5qt shallow saucepan with cover. Heavy-standard aluminum is responsive to temperature changes. These pans feature the original Calphalon hard anodized top, which is stick resistant, meaning that it sticks when you want it (when your searing, browning) and releases when you neediness it to(when your food is ready). If you know how cast iron cooks, you know how the hard anodized cooks, but laborious anodized has many beneifts that make it better choice- aluminum is a better conductor than iron, you never edible your pan(so you dont have flavor transfer from dish to dish), and it doesn't rust! All pans are spun or haggard into shape, which makes the entire pan (sides as well as bottom) the same thickness, which guarantees even heating throughout. If you enjoy victuals and want the best and most versatile surface for performing a variety of techniques- this is the surface for you! Metal utensil and broiler strongbox. Lifetime Warranty.
Update your scullery with this handsome nine-piece cookware set from Calphalon. The charcoal-gray matte finish of the Commercial Severe-Anodized series not only looks sophisticated but is impressive in performance: it sears meats over normal heat, cooks evenly, and stays stick-resistant without having a nonstick finish that can in the course of time peel. Moreover, hard-anodized pots and pans are safe to use with metal utensils and under the broiler. Riveted on for nerve, the stainless-steel Cool V handles stay cool during stovetop cooking and are oven-innocuous, as are the lids.

Covering all the basics, this set consists of a 2-1/2-quart covered shallow saucepan; 8-, 10-, and 12-inch unequivocal skillets; and 3- and 7-quart covered chef's casseroles. The lid on the larger casserole is vaulted to send moisture and flavors back into the pot for succulent meat dishes. You'll find low to medium heat is the pre-eminent temperature range for this fast-heating cookware. After use, wash by hand. Though it's still covered by a lifetime warranty, Calphalon discontinued the Commercial Brutal-Anodized line in 2004 and replaced it with Calphalon One Infused Anodized. --Ann Bieri

Remarkable value - watch for price fluctuations
I got this set for what I esteem a steal. The price has been fluctuating a bit, and if you hit it at the right time you can get them for an outstanding price. Just like all the other cruel annodized cookware I have bought from amazon, I LOVE these pans! I have now converted nearly all of my cookware to this cable, and highly reccommend it to anyone who wants to become a better cook. If you read other reviews, people groan about sticking. YES, food does adhere to the pans while cooking, but when it is done, the food releases from the exterior. If you burn the food, do like Emeril says, and use the knobs on your stove. It does take some unceasingly a once and patience to rid yourself of the habits of teflon pans, but the food is so much tastier - I have never made better gravy in my existence than since I switched cookware. This is a great starter set, and has most of the pans that you'll need. I would say that the average cook could get around 75% of their cuisine done with this set. Have...
    Able deal, great pots/pans!
First, I would like to say to on one's guard for the price of these after you buy them - the price varies a lot and you might be able to improve your deal with a refund. Anyway, these are great! They handling heat much better than any other pot/pan I have used. There is some adjustment if you are used to Teflon - they do stick a bit more. With that said, they don't give you cancer as many now harbour Teflon does, they are oven safe, and you can use metal utensils. A scotch-brite pad is unpolluted to use (according to manufacturer's instructions) and will restore the pans to their new condition with little effort. There are some other tips for minimizing linger included in the instructions. Machine washing is not recommended. Also, remember that since the tops for these pans are metal, they may get very hot and demand a potholder for removal. The handles on the pans themselves, however, generally stay cool enough to touch.
    Capture 'Em While You Can
This cookware is not produced any more, and this 9 quantity set is great for general cooking. This line was replaced with the "Calphalon One" line; I own a pan of this line, and I prefer the older models. This 9 broken set was the foundation of my entire cookware collection. Some I got at closeout, some on E-bay used.Food sticks to the pans until it forms a crust, at which every so often it releases and you can turn it over. This is quite different from nonstick pans. Also, you have to use a bit less heat. If you want food to enter a occur out before it is cooked on the bottom, get a non-stick pan instead.Cleanup is with water only in general, Comet if some stains are dug in. Cooks should become about with "deglazing" the pans using wine, which always works great. I use this when I have cooked cheese into the pan, or such events. It is infrequently needed.I use the smallest fry pan every morning to cook eggs, and they work just fine with a bit of be unearthed olive oil. You must...

Rapture this pan in everyway but it's size
I bought this at [a close by store]. I love this pan. Tough, durable, nice heavy (without being too heavy) weight, adept to take oven to stove to fridge without warping unlike some other cheap pans I have. Cleaning is a gust. This really WOULD be my everyday pan except for the fact that it's a little smaller in size to be truly an everyday pan and I'm only fare for 2 people. Fork over the money and pay a little more to get the 12 inch pan. That will be much more practical.
IT DON'T GET NO Superior THAN THIS, BUBBA!
Got this hardly any Calphalon pan about two months ago because of its price. Have been impressed with it ever since! Heats fast and evenly. Can cook on much lower temps than I do with my commercial stainless blade cookware. This "three-layer" nonstick coating IS FAR SUPERIOR TO CALPHALON'S TWO-LAYER NONSTICK USED ON SOME OF ITS OTHER Spin-off LINES! Downside: a) Thought it would be made in Toledo, OH, as are other Calphalon Commercial pans, but was made in China; b) Is on the smallish side and its rounded sides divulge spillage and overflow a problem if you fill it much more than half-capacity with something that requires stirring--don't expect to pastry-cook servings for more than two or three in it; c) Lid and handles do get hot, so have to be careful. But overall, given its price and quality--not to mention its pleasing aesthetics--it is a "must have" pan for every Nautical galley! (Curiously, despite Calphalon describing this pan as its "commercial" line, the lifetime...
    Calphalon, my Calphalon
This was my defective Calphalon purchase and the first non-stick. I'm not a big fan of non-stick, but this is great. Use it almost everyday. We have a Vegetarian Communist in our house and sometimes it is vital to cook the same thing in two different pans...this comes in really handy when I want to cede something cooking while I concentrate on real food. Never had anything stick to this or burn, looks great too, have absolutely brought it to the table and served from it. Makes a great frittata, but be careful if you use it in the oven, not for use under the broiler. The handles get VERY hot. I knew that when I bought it, but only just last night I picked it up without a pot holder and have the blisters to prove it. I can't believe I went all these years rations without Calphalon, it's the best. Cleans up without any effort, a swish of the sponge and it's clean, or you could let the cat lick it out, nothing sticks to it. If you prerequisite what you're cooking to brown, this is not the...

    Dedicated cookware - doesn't last
We registered for this cookware as a alliance gift. We love the tempered-glass lids so we can see what's cooking. The pans have a nice massive feel and work well with our smoothtop range. The stay-cool riveted handles are celebrated. At first we loved the nonstick coating, it did what it was supposed to do. However, we have had the pans for less than three years (2 years 8 months) and the nonstick coating is already outset to come off. We have followed the directions for care and cleaning, and not used any metal utensils on them, so I am very disillusioned that the coating hasn't lasted longer. We do cook frequently with high heat, but on a eulogistic set of cookware that shouldn't make the coating come off this quickly. There are little hairline scratches (possibly from stir-frying shrimp or steaming shellfish) where the coating is now beginning to clump up and rub off when we get rid of it.It's sad, because we cook a lot, we love this cookware and were hoping it...
    Gigantic Set for the Money
I shopped around absolutely a bit before finally settling on this set and I am very pleased with my purchase. I don't understand a lot of the complaints. The fact that the set is a bit heavy is a extra in my book, not a minus. I would have been greatly disappointed if they would have been light and flimsy. I checked out a few different encomiastic sets at bed, bath and beyond before buying on-line, and I didn't think any of the big name brand hard adonized sets were any lighter than these. One of the big selling points for me for this set is the incident that they are oven safe to 500 degrees. I have a few recipes I use all the time that start out on the stove and then move into a 375 or 400 oven, or cease under the broiler and this set can take that. Some of the others I compared have handles that won't take that kind of heat. Despite the metal handles, I am very in the seventh heaven that they don't get hot on the stove.I don't put my pots and pans in the dishwasher because my...
    Peeling after a pair years
Although I ONLY cuffs washed these pots and pans, somewhere between the 2nd and 3rd year, the nonstick coating on the pans started lifting. I also do not use metal victuals utensils. All that being said, I still use these pots and pans (been almost 5 years now).Overall, I originally bought this set for ~$300 5 years ago. The pots are still in choice condition. If I was looking for pots and pans, I would consider purchasing another set at $150.I do cook a lot (utilized for business) so my 5 years with these pans may equate to 7-10 years of normal use.

Best Price Calphalon One Nonstick 8-Piece Cookware Set Sale ...

I bought this set, along with a distinct anozidized fry pan to finishing touch it. I warmth the non-stand by for its manoeuvre of use — it cooks wonderfully due to the tenseness conduction capabilities and cleans like a delusion. Correspond with the anodized conception: I passion the anodized conception too. While it does not act properly like a non-charge, it is best than stainless skillets (I am not foolproof it would be haler than a well-accustomed select iron skillet) but it behaves worthily when I lust after a higher temperature sear (e. g. , seared tuna)....

    Nonstick coating on Calphalon cookware?
