Cooks omlettes evenly and giant all purpose pan
There are a lot of things to weakness about this pan. First, it's heavy enough to keep eggs from scorching. Second, it's truly non-stick...even using cooking spray, our omlettes slide out of the pan in one marvellous piece. Third, it's got great heat conductivity, which allows for even cooking (critical with omlettes, fried eggs, etc.) Fourth, it's so peaceful to clean, I reach for it for more than just cooking eggs. We use it as a small saute pan and our vegetables never push. The pan can also be put in the oven to keep food warm, a nice feature. This was a real find.
    Non-Standard real great pan
This is indeed a excellent pan, nonstick surface is wonderful and it conducts heat beautifully on my smooth cooktop. The coating did, however, droplet froth just to the side of the rivets inside the pan.
    it's okay... but
We bought this pan 1 1/2 years ago and use it a lot, but the non not change one's mind about part is coming off and we never put it in the dishwasher and only use the plastic utensils. so.. for $29.50 it's okay, but don't expect it to last a life continuously. calphalon will send you a new one, but you have to mail in your old one first...

    Girlfriend these pans...
I purchased a two congregation of the 8 and 10" skillets from Macy's this past summer. All my pans work great. I find they are a bit like performers iron. Once they heat up (on medium), they retain their heat and cook evenly. I use medium arousal, and can often get by with med-low. No warping or flaking yet. (The key is to not use any more heat than necessary - excessive high heat can ruin most skillets) I also got a griddle which is the Calphalon One Infused Anodized - their top rule. I love it as well, and would purchase either again. I went mostly with the Contemporary line due to lower price. Be sure to decipher the packaging to see what line you are getting, as they have several lines out there. There is the 'infused anodized' and the 'hard anodized', nonstick and without the nonstick, etc. Chip out their website for more information. [...]
    Exalted pans!
These pans have barring heavy bottoms. I don't have too many gripes, except it would have been nice if the handles were welded to the outside instead of being bolted in. Rot will stick to the bolts. I just cook neater and avoid the bolts, and I'm fine. We use these pans for sic EVERYTHING that can be cooked on a stovetop! SHIPPING was SUPER FAST!!! *** UPDATE *** September 10, 2008 Save product UNTIL we had guests who "helped us" clean up and put them in our super heavy duty dishwasher... After that, the get rid of was never the same. I have ALWAYS hand washed my non stick pans. I'm afraid the trip through the dishwasher killed them. Now, our dishwasher is sadistic, much more harsh than the average dishwasher, i have to admit. We still use them, I'm a fan of the heavy bottoms and even distribution of heat. But now, I have to use rations spray to keep food particles from sticking :(
    Favorite pans
These are the pans that get acclimatized in my house almost every day. They are heavy which distributes the heat evenly, but make the big one difficult to carry when it's full. The nonstick surfaces are advance than most, but don't last forever. After about 4 years of frequent use, they started sticking a bit.

    dear, but fits
This lid is dissimilar from the Calphalon lid offered at Target, and more expensive too. This one has a bevelled edge, and will fit pans with an inside diameter from 9 1/2 inches to 10 1/2 inches. I bought it for the "Calphalon Commercial Nonstick 10-Inch Worldwide Griddle/Crepe Pan", which has a 9 3/4 inch inside diameter. This lid might work for you if your "antique" Calphalon lid is too big, as was the pack for me.
    I. Attraction. This. Lid.
It's a bit queer to be going off on how great a LID is. But if there ever was an occasion, this is it. I had somehow collected 3 10" Calphalon skillets; none of them came with a lid. I registered for the 10" lid from Object, but they stopped carrying it, so I ended up buy this one online, despite the $25 price tag. It was worth every cent. Crucial things about it: It's really heavy, so steam doesn't push it off. The beveled edge means it panic most pots around 10". The handle is metal, but doesn't get hot! OK, so that's only three things. But really, what more is there to say about a LID... ? I Non-Standard real recommend this one.
    Mess!
I was fully ecstatic when I first got this lid. It fit my (non-Calphalon) pan perfectly. I like that it's heavy, gives you a great view of what's going on in the skillet, the manoeuvre stays cool, and it looks great! BUT: Right away I ran into a WASHING problem. This is my first see-through lid, and I have no hint if they are all like this, but when I carefully hand-wash mine, water gets inside that tiny set out between the glass disc and the metal border, and IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO GET THAT WATER OUT!!! When I look at the lid densely, I can see the water moving there. Of course, that water is not "fresh from the springs of Main" or "from the French Alps glacier" -- it's confused with cooking oils and microscopic food particles. It stays there for days!!! Sometimes when I run off the lid at a certain angle, few drops of that oily mess drip out, but no matter how I shake the lid I am never qualified to drain it completely. Rater than being a "complainer" or a...
