Dish IR Unconnected Upgrade Kit
Kit works well. Easygoing to install and program. Allows remote control of IR Dish receiver from another room that is not "line of spy".. This is useful for a twinned installation for two TV's with one receiver. Good investment.

But for remote for Dish
This UHF ultramontane is perfect for Dish Network receivers. It works as well as the UHF remote that came with my VIP 722 receiver. Since it is an genuine Dish remote you don't have to learn where all the buttons are. I have had this installed for over a month behind a wall and it works flawlessly. Extraordinarily recommend.

Wonderful elfin upgrade
No more reaching up to exchange the channgel....(yea i'm that lazy!) with this upgrade kid i can now rest the palm of my hand on the remote unchanging on the sofa cushion without lifting or even lining the remote to change channels. I should have gotten one of these sooner. well recommended.

First-rate Picture
Ever since my mooring company installed digital cable in my house I have had picture problems. The analog pictures were grainy and half of the digital pictures didn't do in. They just said they would arrive shortly but never did. Numerous calls to the cable company substandard to come up with a permanent fix. So I decided to take matters in my own hands. Other boosters made things worse. When I saw that this one worked with digital as well as analog I assertive to give it a try. I first hooked it up from the cable box to the vcr and got no improvement. So I tried hooking it up where the signal first came in before the cable reciever and it worked marvellously. Analog pictures are clearer than ever and all the digital pictures come in. No more "Please Wait" screens. I am mad that my brainless cable company refused to do this but I am thrilled to finally have what I pay for! Great product!

Actually about signal booster
As for the residents writing the other reviews on this product, you should not speak if you know nothing about Broadband. First of all, this booster will NOT increase your docsis wire modem speeds, no matter what you hear. This amplifier, installed correctly (at the entry single out of your home) will boost your forward signal by +15db (allowing return signals to old-fashioned). Most cable modem operating level ranges are +15 to -15, so if your within that range on your line modems operating frequency (for example 705mhz) there is no need for a booster. If you are on the treshhold of timer, like -17db, then this amp will be beneficial to you. Your GUI on your cable modem will give you this reading (http://192.168.100.1 for lesson). As for your cable reception, and amplifier can be helpful if you have multiple TV's, to make up for the loss that your splitters devise. Tucker Booster on the Market
Last to purchasing the Motorola amp, I purchased and installed the TERK AMP-15, which worked very well (until the cable proprietorship did a disconnect recently and apparently short-circuited the input). Upon reconnecting my Mailgram service, the cable-tv tech noted that my TERK AMP-15 was no longer working. Rather than legitimate order another TERK, I decided to check the alternatives. Checking the specs, I noticed the Motorola Timer Booster is a similar product, however the specs are much better (2.5 dB max Noise Figure vs. 3.5 dB max for the TERK) and the Motorola uses the most modern technology available (Gallium Arsenide). Also, the Motorola amp includes a 6kV surge resistant aim (meets the 6kV IEEE C62.41-1991 and 1 kV Combination Wave surge for all ports). I did not find surge protection money mentioned in the TERK spec. Works accomplished... unless you use other 2.4Ghz devices
I was looking for a wireless way to send the video & audio from my living leeway to a bedroom, so that I could watch movies coming from my cable box & DVD player. Having a remote curb feature, I chose this model. I can tell you that the picture was very sharp, and the sound was great. However, I also have a Panasonic KX-TG2730 expandable cordless phone system, which operates on the same 2.4Ghz frequency. With the phone's servile plugged in, it produced crackling sound and wide dark bands that scrolled vertically along the visualize. Unplug the phone system, and it was flawless. I had read other mixed reviews on interference caused by 2.4Ghz phone systems, but I can apprise you that the Panasonic system I mentioned did cause interference for me. I tried moving the phone base, and tried all four channels on the Leapfrog Wavemaster 30 video transmitter, but nothing helped. Works as well as can be expected for 2.4ghz
I acquainted with this product for several weeks to transmit satellite TV from our living room to a computer upstairs (with windows media forefront). It was easy to set up and the remote worked great; however, if you are considering buying this product, you should be knowledgeable of some things: 1. The price of this product is dropping quickly because it's inferior to RF links that run on the 5.8 GHz spectrum. I strongly promote considering spending the extra money on a product that runs on this less-crowded spectrum. Specifically, be processed to run into trouble if you are running a wireless 802.11b or 802.11g network (which uses the same frequency), 2.4ghz cordless phones, and microwaves. If you stay in a condo/apt complex close to other neighbors, you will want to be sure they are not using products on this spectrum. Works peerless, even with WiFi (instructions here)
The comments on the Terk LF-30S seem to run in two unique camps. It either works great, or won't work at all, usually due to WiFi interference. You can beat the WiFi quandary, and I'll show you how. First, my experience with the Terk has been positive. It was easy to set up and everything you need is included. We use it to send a signal from our Comcast DVR (hooked to our water big-screen TV) to a secondary TV in our kitchen / family room area. We use a secondary output on the DVR to someway up the Terk sending unit. The signal is sent between two floors of my house. I did a little measuring on the two floors, and with a inconsiderable basic geometry, was able to aim the antennas acceptably on the first pass.
