Bad, Bad, Bad!!!
Former to this purchase, we have shared use of a Winegard portable dish that my brother owns but because we were planning a trip together it was time for us to get our own. We purchased this kit for use with our RV legitimate prior to leaving for a month-long camping trip to a remote area of California. That the container arrived in a timely manner is about the only good thing we can say. It came the night before we left so there was no hour to test reception. The package was only opened, inspected, and repacked. The kit was complete but we were skeptical of the tripod being new as the hang up was scratched and scarred by the blunt ends of mounting screws and one of the leg rivets had obviously been replaced. As notorious by other buyers, there were no instructions included other than that for the satellite finder which were extremely difficult to follow. At our destination we emptied several hours attempting to get reception but failed. To test our RV's system, we set up my brother's dish...it...

Directv 18 Inch Satellite Dish Rv Tripod Kit
This was the easiest and simplest dish I've ever set up. The undergo is made very solid and sturdy. The only suggestion I might make is that a small level be put in the kit because not everyone owns a level but I do so it did not hamper my installation.

The damned fad really works!
When I ordered this cognizance, I suspected that I had once again thrown perfectly "good money" down the drain. Within a scant five minutes after hooking the supplied RG-6 telegram to my satellite receiver and loading the supplied batteries into the simple, exquisitely and intuitively designed unfamiliar, I was tuned magnificently to my favorite channel, the Food Network, in the palmetto-clad depths of a detached sea-side campground in the low-country of South Carolina!No more pinched fingers from unruly tripods. No more cajoling and petitioning my truculent wife of 47 years to deign to say those magic words, "We got a picture!" ... after the ritualistic 30-45 minutes of my fiddlin' and tweakin' to find unbiased that right combination of elevation, disc-levellin' and azimuth-findin' required to configure my old dish apparati.My only grouse: this thing won't feed a second receiver in my 5th wheel camper. I've had my eye on this issue since early last year, but at the time I could only afford a manually adjusted portable dish. So over the course of the year, I've fought tooth and right away with trying to zero in on the satellite signal, sometimes with no luck at all. All of the other reviews raving this product are correct: Within 15 minutes of removing the VuQube from the box, I had my DirecTv up and continual. Now that the Qube has the general satellite position stored in its remote, future setups shouldn't take more than 5 minutes max.My prevalent problem with the manual portable dishes is finding a level surface to place it on - not an easy job out in the wild. Without being level, the elevation might be "set" right but physically will be off. The with VuQube, it self levels locally! Gotta love it!Other reviews I have read, like at Camping World, mentioned the batteries in the outside would be found dead on arrival. I guess they actually shipped the remote with...

Hit or Coed, worth a try...
Seems like a grievous idea to avoid unsightly (and potentially -if you have an elderly dependent- dangerous) long wires. So I gave it a try.The component is very well and solidly built (if a bit bulky), and a snap to set up. Plug the base unit into an electrical publicize close to your main phone line, and run a phone cable from the phone line to the draw unit. Do the same with the sattelite unit, and connect the phone to the satellite unit - you are done. You will get dial tone.What will depend a lot on your wiring, I guess, is sound quality. It was horrid in my environment - heavy static, a very loud and variable distance noise and muffled voice to top it off. It was unusable in that environment. I don't blame the product - I am sure it depends a lot on how the wires run in a post. Seems worth a try, even though it didn't work for me.

I am using it for my Directv Sat recipient and it works perfectly. I can now order movies without going online or calling Directv. Lenient to install, took me about 5 minutes.

I've been tiresome to figure out how to get the fax part of my Dell all-in-one printer working, since it was no where near a phone jack, and this wireless jack fit the bill. I followed the directions plugging the insufferable unit into an electrical outlet near my landline, plugging the line into the jack as well as the real estate line. I then plugged the extension unit into an outlet near my printer/fax unit. The with light turned green (signifying that it found the base unit signal). I first plugged a phone into it to see if I was getting a dial shade. There was a buzz on the line, but I did hear the dial tone. I have read some other reviews complaining about unchanged on the line, and with the buzz I heard I'm not sure I would want to use this for another phone line, but when I plugged my fax into this and ran a exam, it worked great...no complaints! Both units are not too large, and I am happy to now have gotten the fax working!The directions said not to stuff the units into GFI...
