    Fanciful Brownies !!
    I found these in a rely on in December and bought one. It worked so wonderfully that I went back and bought 3 more so I can make a huge lot of brownies without having to wait for cooling and washing of pan. Pans are very nonstick, very heavy, dishwasher safety-deposit box, though I usually hand wash them since hot soapy water and a 1-minute soak totally loosens any sterile residue. One tip - Since pan is not supposed to be sprayed, I grease bottoms with tiny bit of shortening, being sure to travel over corners, but not too much is needed. After baking, cool about 7-9 minutes so brownies are set, but soft enough to obliterate. I loosen 4 edges with THIN knife blade, careful not to scratch, then lift brownies onto cooling tear at. One other idea which makes removal MUCH easier. I cut 2inch squares of parchment paper using rolling reaper and stacked sheets to make strips and heavy see-thru quilting measuring ruler.     This is a lofty pan. I'm a bachelor and make quick breads and brownies so I have something sweet to snack on, and it's much easier to wrap up and stockpile them as dessert bars than it is to cut them out of a cake pan or stack cupcakes/muffins. The pan is very well-built, like most Calphalon products, thick with a very probity non-stick coating. The only downside is that removal can be a bit of a pain.
