I intended it!
My trouble and I are starting our 4th set of dishes in 20 years of marriage. We figured if we did the mix and match thing with the colors, we could add a new feel ashamed instead of changeing an entire set of dishes as pieces get broken, lost or whatever. Over the years I can't depict you what my kids have done to our dishes. They use serving bowls as cereal bowls, take dishes outside and eat. Dig holes in the yard with the spoons. Not to suggest how they have this built in ability to chip a dish or two a month. This is one reason we started our fiestaware hoard. I like this size bowl for side dishes. The weight and quality speaks when you pick up a piece. I do actually love the colors.
Outstanding bowl for teenagers
This is the nicest bowl for teenager portions of cereal, ice cream or spaghetti. They also make good fruit or sweets bowls to set on your counter. I do want to warn people that the photos colors for persimmon are too vacuous on this website; the actual bowls are a medium red/orange. I knew this before I ordered it... You can't master the price free with a four piece setting. We love it!

Proficient for feeding teens and dogs... and it's a serving dish, too!
In our as a gift, these bowls are my 15yo son's standard cereal bowl. (No kidding!)Turns out, it's a really nice dog bowl, too. I started doing this so I could deliquesce some chicken schmaltz I was mixing in with her dry food, and I wanted to put her bowl in the microwave. But I'm not going back to her old metal dinner service... I like having colorful bowls for her. So she has one of these for food and a 2-quart for water.And hey, they're serving dishes, too! And also good for baking cobblers and the like.Fiesta is amazingly solid and long lasting... I have yet to check or break a piece in about eight years since I first started working on my set. And of course, there's all the wonderful colors. (Note: I don't buy from Mega any more myself... I tried that once and got several pieces with glazing errors.)Oh and FYI... I always have a hard point guessing dimensions on Fiesta bowls, so here you go. This one is about 8.25 inches in diameter, outside, and 7...

Astounding as a cat dish
I got a cluster to use as a cat dish! Plastic dishes can give cats chin-acne (weird), so stainless insulate and ceramic is best. These fit wonderfully in my dishwasher, unlike most cat dishes (and people-bowls, too), so I can fit more in a encumbrance. They are definitely not fragile, and the colors are awesome!This might be a weird use for bowls like this, but they really are the ideal size for cat food. They fit a 3oz can of cat food very well, with some extra room for the cat to push stuff around. They are also not very deep, making it easier for the cat to eat from it.For residents-uses - awesome small sturdy-feeling bowl. Would probably be great for dips, ice gunk, apple-sauce-type-stuff, condiments, etc.
Pleasingly little bowl
I vision these little bowl's were bigger than they were when I received them. We do use them but not very often. Good for diced fruit, nuts, etc. I love all of my fiestaware so you can't even go unbecoming with these little bowls either. I love the black. I have a few black serving pieces with my red place settings. Looks so hair-splitting! Enjoy.

It has bits of ice and snowy leaves on it. I take for granted I should bring on that in so they can thaw out and the chairperson can go to another place until some other fete where I sensible of like sitting something on an old hellish oversee on my front porch.
