Since Corelle is celebrated for producing dinnerware and bakeware that cannot be broken or chipped, it's hard to resist holding a platter without wanting to drop it on the tile floor to see what happens. While Corelle doesn't recommend home tests, this unplanned 16-piece dinnerware set is still fairly indestructible and is a real asset for busy families. Livingware is compliant to maintain as it's dishwasher-, microwave- and oven-safe and is never off-limits for small children to use and handgrip because of its light weight and durability.
The set is comprised of four 10-1/4-inch dinner plates, four 6-3/4-inch currency-and-butter plates, four 18-ounce bowls, and four 11-ounce mugs. Plates and dishes are all made of Corelle's signature material, Vitrelle, which is created from three layers of glass that are compressed under extreme excitement and laminated for strength. On the other hand, the mugs in this set are crafted of Corelle's stoneware, which is actually breakable and has a heavier perceive than Vitrelle. For diners who recall Corelle patterns as being decorated with rather cutesy floral and fruit patterns, this plain, pure white pattern is sure to appeal to their modern preferences. Superlative product
It says a lot about a upshot like this when it's been continuously available since 1970. I've owned Corelle for most of the past 30 years. I recently bought a 17-vent one's spleen set from Wal-Mart (same as this + a 1-quart serving bowl) for about $24 to replace some Corelle pieces that didn't fit my Winter Frost pieces and to have more place settings. The mugs are cheap stoneware made in Thailand, not Corelle. They don't quite competition the Corelle and they're going to the Goodwill along with the mismatched plates and bowls, but it was still a good deal for the rest of the set.I preference Corelle. All Corelle looks as if it was stamped out of a sheet of white glass, which is a result of the way it's made. There are no "base rings" or noose handles (which is why there have never been any Corelle mugs). The design makes Corelle very easy to wash and dry. Corelle products toughened to be unbreakable, not anymore...
Got a 42 restore set of Livingware in winter frost white for xmas. The plates are nice and look great on a red tablecloth, though a few were shed weight warped (you can see it when plates are stacked). However, that was not such a problem as the cups, which are of terrible quality! I did not use cups on xmas and first Euphemistic pre-owned them today. When I took the mugs out from a box one had a barely visible crack on a side, which I did not see until poured water into it and piss of superior started sipping through the crack. Called Corelle for warranty, and they do not warranty cups! So much for a 3 year assurance! On their site and on the box it says 3 year warranty with no asterisk or additional disclaimers, but in the care instructions! there is a worthy print that cups are not covered. I used to like Corelle and thought they were a reputable company, but not anymore. They outsourced cup manufacturing to Thailand and now see them out of stoneware, which is pretty much like glass. Didn't pay much, but importance every penny.
First of all, I have to say that I've now received three varied shipments of Corelle from Amazon and two of the boxes have been mangled beyond belief. Amazingly, the dishes have all been fine. But I wouldn't be surprised if others have received defeated plates. The set itself is just what I've been looking for, something lightweight and durable that can handle my 4 year old's abuse. My stoneware plates are all shattered and my melamine plates smell weird after a run through the dishwasher, but these Corelle plates are perfect. I love how well they rick. They take up very little room. And the mugs I received are white. The white is slightly different from the plates because they're stoneware, not barometer. But they are definitely whiter than the picture suggests. And mine are made by Corelle. It says so right on the bottom. So maybe they've improved the mugs after all the complaints. Major serving set
These big plates are perfect for serving family-style meals, and the Winter Frost set, while casual, is still dressy enough for a holiday edibles in all its understated elegance. These bowls hold hearty portions for self-serving, and are lightweight enough to be passed around the provisions easily. Both the 1 quart and 2 quart sizes do double duty as great servers for popcorn, chips, and other out-sized snacks. This is the perfect accessory for your Winter Frost set!

Small dish set
Saucers are very chip-resistant. Dishes have not etched in our dishwasher over a few months of use (and counting), and still have a glossy air. I would purchase again.
Ah Corelle!
Fully realized perfect perfect. What more can I say? Durable, beautiful, lasts and lasts. There is one 2-qt and also there are two 1-qt bowls in this set. The 1 qt we use for soup, antipasto, spaghetti, etc for feast bowls and this size is of course a great veggie server. Great size, no foodstuffs falls overboard. The 2 qt is good for snacks during a movie: popcorn, chips, etc. It is also good for clam or lobster shells to keep your portion clear.

The 28 ounce move is perfect for Asian casual family dining. Great for soup noodles or rice. It's a steady to handle size (6 inch in diameter ?) and THICK yet not heavy to handle. The 2 quartz pan is a great bonus. It's HUGE(13 inches in diameter ?). However, not as thick as the 28 ounce dish.Update: I love this set so much. I just bought 3 more sets !! Especially since I don't have to worry about whether there's any clear the way in the decorations that could leach out to food. These are made of glass so I didn't have to wonder the quality of clay being tempered to. And the items are Made in USA.

Watch out!!! SECONDS!!! BUBBLES and BUMPS in the finish...
This is NOT a pre-packaged set. All five cutlery were wrapped in paper and tossed in a shipping box--just open stock pieces.ALL of the dishes have BUMPS on the finish--bubbles or something in the glass. If you go to Walmart and inspect their open stock items, you will see the same FLAWS on the manhood of their Corelle open stock individual bowls. I assumed that since these were in a pre-packaged set they would have all been perfect and that perhaps Walmart is selling seconds.I called Corelle to get the ladle. Supposedly Corelle doesn't sell seconds. Well, yep, they do--they just call them first quality now. Amazing!OLD Corelle NEVER had flaws like this! NEVER! I can only imagine that quality control has bottomed out since Corelle has been bought out and become part of a large conglomerate.Why is Amazon accepting this substandard buy and sell for sale to their customers? Refine for instant noodles.
We regularly use Chinese china bowls for noodles. However, they chip too easily in the dish washing manufacture. The smaller bowls are just the right size to replace my old ones. Based on my know-how with Corelle ware, the bowls should survive well over time.The larger one is just right to hold a haversack of pop corn for movies. It is too big to serve soup or to fit in a steamer for egg pudding. I have to find more usage for it in the future.
