Frightening!
I got these for my 86 year old matriarch. I like that they are lightweight, but look sort of like stoneware. They are elegant and understated and go with everything.

Win out over Apartment China!
Besides being morsel/scratch/shatter resistant, these dishes are thin enough to store in far less cabinet space than any other dinnerware. They are set right for apartment dwellers who do not have a lot of storage space and for whom a separate set of guest china is out of the question. Dressed up with a minute tablecloth and napkins and some (cheap) wineglasses, they are elegant enough for any dinner party. After all, the food and wine are the stars of the show, and they don't beggary fancy china to distract. After dinner, throw everything in the dishwasher; nothing is so delicate that it needs to be ahand washed. I affection my Corelle!
Occasional ELEGANCE
Enhancements is a champ. Slightly more substantial than most Corelle dinnerware sets yet lightweight and completely durable. Designed in sparkling white with sculpted rims for an understated elegant appearance, these can be used for casual run-of-the-mill dining or "dressed up" to reflect a more formal tabletop. I love these. Also purchased the coordinating 20 oz. pasta dishes and 9" luncheon plates. :)

Weigh Before Buying
Here are some things to have regard for before buying this set. 1) If you want to lose weight, you should look at the winter frost divided plates, 10 3/4" and 8 1/2" for scold proportions; and your foods won't run into each other. In that pattern and in this one, you can also find individual bowls to order that are small and help keep you creditable like 6 oz, 10 oz, 12 oz and a 15 oz rimmed soup/salad plate. And 8 oz mugs are elbow. If you order this set you are getting supersized dinnerware items--beware! 2) This is a nice-looking decorate that feels good to the hands and looks good and is fine for everyday informal dinnerware, having the advantages of being less reasonable to break than stoneware or china although it can break on tile floors and being quite chip and delete resistant in comparison. Proclivity the pattern, but these are "seconds"
Comprehensive, I'm satisfied with the purchase and I do love these dishes and the pattern. However, it should have been noted in the item description that these plates are, in fact, seconds. There is significant "waviness" (other reviewers have referred to it as warping) at the edges of the plates. It's unusually noticeable when the plates are stacked.As I said, for the price, I'm happy. I'm keeping the dishes. But they are patchy.

Condign what I wanted!
These tableware are exactly what I wanted. They arrived in 2 days. One of the salad plates had a scratch on the pattern (it wan't chipped or anything, and it was just noticeable) so I called the 1-800 number and the company replaced it with no questions asked. The consumer service was fantastic and the replacement arrive in about 4 days. The dishes themselves are holding up pretty well so far. I use them in the microwave, put sustenance on them right out of the pot/pan, and wash them in very hot water. I've had no problems. I accidentally dropped one of the plates once and it didn't ease up (although it wasn't a huge drop). Overall, I am extremely satisfied and would definitely leverage these again. In fact, I love them so much that I'm considering buying a second set !
