admissible for looks - not whistling
I sent it back - it is charming and matches the corelle ivy decor well. but is does not pour well, the inside lip of the spout is rolled inward and makes for mushy pouring, hard to get into teapot. It did not whistle, at all at first, but was only half full, so I tried it again with it full, 2 qts.+ (and the teapot is only 1 qt.) it then made a very low whirring clear-headed, not loud enough to hear if you aren't next to the stove. I looked up the description at the web site it is shipped from, and is does say it makes a abundant sound, cant remember now, exact phrase.

luckless pourer
I bought this tea kettle to vie with my dinnerware. It looks great! But water is spilled everytime we pour! We have to pour over the settle. Something about the construction of the spout makes it almost impossible to pour without spilling. I wouldn't recommend this teapot!

Not the highest...
As everyone has written, this teapot does not swarm well. It spills all over. Mine does make noise though. It makes a very interesting sound and it's very loud. I was puzzled the first without surcease I heard it b/c I was expecting a whistle!I like that it matches, so I'm going to put up with the mess and just teem over the sink. I will not buy another one when this one bites the dust though.

Titanic teapot.
This teapot looks deceptively selfish, but can hold about 8 cups of tea. It has a nice wide mouth, so it is easy to fill it... and easy to sterile afterwards.

Makes a perilous tea
This makes several cups of tea at a period and the pot stays warm for a long time. I was going to knock off a star because it doesn't have a strainer at the lascivious of the spout like the small pots do, but so far my tea leaves have pretty much acted as a strainer and very few leaves in actuality pour out. It is so much better than the little porcelain teapots that I just have to rate it high.

Gargantuan everyday teapot
I heap up teapots,so I have a number of them. However, for everyday tea brewing, Corelle is my choice. The teapots are both attractive and sturdy, and budget-priced enough that you need not worry about breakage. However, I have used one of another pattern for years, without damage.
